It will add 250 hp by itself though? that was my question. I guess if you add enough boost to anything, you can get the HP #'s way up there. If you add a 300 hp shot of nitrous it would have the same effect...LOL

I would love to, but my car wont be done by then, and I dont want to run it that hard until it's complete. I am sure it is on borrowed time as it is.

yea it takes 18 to 20psi of boost that why i wouldnt do it on stock block.. i think mustang guys saying 11 to 12 psi limit of stock block.. anything higher risking a KABOOM

Actually the 4.6 block itself is capable of handling WAY more than that. It's the internals you'd have to be concerned with. If a connecting rod went, I would imagine that the block wouldn't be able to take that.

I agree guy's what I'm doing may not be safe but so far so good. My mech told me I was crazy but he said if you are planning on either replacing the block or putting forged internal's in then what the hell.

You mean instead of breaking balls over the interwebs we could break peoples balls in person?? Yeah i can tell you what that would turn into lol. Like someone said, hopefully there are no sharp objects around.

Sounds like a good time, except if you had a mustang it would probably be a burnt, pile of crap by the end of it. I could see some "mustang" guys doing this and all their cars would get jacked up by the Camaro5 Lynchburg mob...

sarcasm people, sarcasm before anyone gets their panties in a bundle

I am not sure what all we will be doing. What I do know is either replacing the block or putting forged internal's in it, and a cam of some sort. We may do a tran's swap and put in a new drive shaft and whatever else he recommend's.

I was told by the boss that I needed to stop spending for a bit. I asked how long that was and she told me next summer sound's good. So that's why I have to wait. Plus with everything else we have going on, I dont even know if I would have time.

You should also go over to Challengertalk and tell them about this event.

Too much supercharger/personal project talk on a Mustang vs. Camaro thread x_x LOL

I havent been on this thread in a while so my discussion is kinda out dated, but how would Dodge putting the 392 Hemi in the SRT burn a hole in their wallet? I would imagine current SRT owners would be pissed though, but then again thats just something to expect, when you buy a car you HAVE to expect that car to only be the top of the food chain for that one model year, even if they didnt make the Z/28 or didnt add the 392 to the Challenger your car would [I]still[I] not be the best when 2010 rolls around because then it'll be a year old, people will say "well yeah yours is the same as mine, but mines brand new so its better anyways." this is why i get so annoyed at people complaining that they dont want the Z/28 made cause they dont want their SS to be knocked off the top...to me thats totally selfish and near-sighted...and besides you bought your car because you loved it and it fulfilled all of your wants and needs, not because it was the "best" if thats the case you should have bought a Vette or Viper LOL

In retrospect...Lets see that 392! ^_^

I already made a thread as soon I as saw this one. Needless to say I didn't get any warm answers. :/ I love the challengers, especially the exterior looks, but dear god those people are more biased than any other forum I've seen. GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE.

Why is it not a real race? Lot's of people race from a roll. My Mustang is a straight beast from a roll. If the car is fast then from a dig or from a roll should not matter.

Most magazines test acceleration times for passing. Usually 45 to 65 but still it's a good and viable test.

I agree, in fact id venture to say that more people on this board have gone 40-65 to get around some A hole in the fast lane more times than a controlled and deliberate Launch from 0-60

LMAO at this!

A few months ago they were talking all sorts of smack about how their stock R/Ts were beating GT500s, Ferrarris, Supercharged Roush Stangs, and Terminators. So me and some Mustang guys here in town challenged them to show up at a local track and race our Stangs and we would shoot and post video of the races over there. All we got were excuses too!
