First time at the strip
Took my SS to the strip for the first time tonight. I ran a 13.57 at 108.5 mph. Car is an ls3 with an intake and borla mufflers. This was my first time ever at a drag strip so I'm trying to figure out if that's a good time or not? Temp was 99 degrees and high humidity (not sure of the exact). Also was running on some very worn out stock tires so I think that hurt my launches. What do you guys think?

Not bad for your first time especially with the temps , humidity , and your tires

13.5 is right where your car should be. Prett darn good time. Deffinently a faster time for natually aspirated. A lot of guys run high 13s to low 14s in the ss especially when it's one of the first times. Great job!

your mile per hour shows you would have a much better time with some sticky tires.

Thanks guys that's good to hear. I feel like the car had a lot more in it too cuz it just wouldn't hook off the line. I trapped 108.5 and the other camaro there ran a 13.1 but only trapped 107.

What were your 60' times? Your times seem decent. When I went the best I got was 13.65 at 107.8 stock. Hopefully I get those down when the temps come down this fall.

cut a 2.0 60 foot and you will reduce your et in the 1/4 by .45..., almost a 13.1.. Your mph is pretty good for the heat.
