Reaction time does not affect ET. Hot weather is definitely a factor. Are you experienced at launching/drag racing? If not, that is a HUGE factor. Just cause the car is capable of doing a certain time does not mean that everyone can do it. It takes LOTS of practice.

It will get better when you get more miles on the car... Most do run around 14 that I've seen in the heat.

Can we see the time slip? The numbers throughout the slip might help us diagnose what happened.

What were your 60' times?

We need to see your full time slip.
Your 14.2 @ 101 mph run would be 13.5- 13.6 @ 105 - 106 mph corrected. I know the DA's are running well over 3000 ft in your area. Even with 101 mph trap speed, you should be running high 13s if you get a decent launch (60' time around 2.0). Then your corrected time would be very low 13s @ 105 - 106 mph. At a 4000 ft. DA your losing around 50 hp from your engine.

I've consistantly gotten 1.9x sec 60' times with this launching technique in my
L99. (D -traction control off) or (M - Sport with TC off) I do not use the tap shifts. I do a quick burnout to clean off my tires. Then I stage the car. I hold the car on the line with one foot on the gas and one foot on the brake (brake stall). I rev to about 1000 rpms or so, while holding the car in place with the brake. On the last amber/yellow light, I roll into the gas and lift up on the brake. As mentioned, I roll into the gas. If the track is slippery, I roll into the gas slowly as I lift up on the brake. If the track is sticky, I roll quickly into the gas. I rarely ever brake stall over 1000 rpms. When I try to brake stall over 1000 rpms (stock tires), I get wheel spin and slower 60' times. Practice makes perfect. You should be able to get your 60' times down to 1.97 or so even in a stock L99 with a decent launch.

Have you done the fuse pull? I dropped about 8 tenths after the fuse pull (that is when I was stock--if you have a tune, then no fuse pull should be necessary.).
Looking at your "time slip," that is what it looks like you need. I have more experience with 1/8 mile times than 1/4 mile, and with a 9.30 1/8 mile time, you should be in the mid 8's in the 1/8th after the fuse pull.

I was running the same times in Kansas city a few weeks ago in the same type weather. Mine does not need a fuse pull and I doubt yours does either. Its a combination of the weather and a poor 60'. Get your 60' in the 1.9 to 2.0 range and you will pick up 3-4 tenths. Weather in the 60-70's and low humidity will get you and another 3-4 tenths.

You picked up 24mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4 so you're making the power you should be.

Off topic, but can the fuse pull be done on the L99 and LS3? If so I need to tell the guys at the track, none have gone faster than 13.3 yet. What fuse to pull as well?

post time and date of when the run was made at. DA (especially in the middle of summer) plays a HUGE factor. Those could actually be really good times.
