Do the world a favor and read the replies to your other posts before feeling the need to post it again elsewhere. This was a relatively last minute decision be Ford to rate the engine the GT same as the Bullit model. I knew about it long before you did and previously pm'd one of the moderators on this forum with that info. (I did so precisely because I expected the kind of rant you are just now launching into) And to be blunt I knew about the info notably before I pm'd him with it.

I was then and am now wrong about nothing. The info I post is accurate when and as posted. If something changes and I cannot say so publically for whatever reason, which was the case here, I will pm the corrected info to a mod precisely so the trolls who live to be a cheerleader for their side can't rant at will with nothing to slow them down. Although I expect most of them will anyway.

I dont share your alligance to the mustang, or put much faith into the 'speculation', but at least your doing it in a mature fashion.

I'm not sure it will weigh 'much less' than the V8. A bit less perhaps. But turbos and an intercooler add weight, and the size of a V6 isn't much smaller than a V8. Still, it should weigh a bit less. I'd guess maybe 50 lbs.
