Yes, you could use a rocker switch to turn them both on. However, the scanner light comes with a remote. The remote lets you turn it on/off and change the pattern.

You could use both if you wanted to, the rocker switch would just act as a "kill" switch to the remote.

Here is a picture of mine. AAC installed 1 strip behind the bumper support with a switch. I use the remote for the AAC halos.

Do you have any pictures of people who have used this as underglow lighting? How successful would it be in that capacity?

You can wire the strip to any 12V power source to turn it on/off (remote, switch, etc.)

The video posted above shows a Camaro with the "underglow".

A little bit of our LED strip under the hood and in the grill works wonders!

Since you are using ColorSHIFT you can make literally over 100,000 colors, it all depends on how advanced the controller you are using is. Which controller do you have?

In that video, to make the upper grill and lower grill look the way the Camaro did, where were those LED strips placed? I am trying to figure if I should place two 36" strips in the front (one for the top grill and one for the bottom), or if one strategically placed 36" strip will suffice.

Thanks Jeff. That's the same spots I was thinking of putting them. Thankfully, it sounds like it works well, and it certainly looks awesome. Great job!
