Question I Went 2 Dealership

i went to the dealership in puente hills to look at the LS, they only had one. it was yellow with automatic nothing else added to it. the invoice was only a couple hundred less then the msrp, is that how your guy's were? they said they would want at least $200 more than invoice so they could make a profit from it but that would end up being sticker price almost, so whats the point. i thought it was a rip off. after t&l it would have been like 26k for a LS, r u kidding me?!
what do you guys think? am i wrong here?

I think that's 2 much for the LS over here they had 1 just like that and with the 20" rims for around 24k I got my 1LT/RS for 28k msrp

Sounds about right! Your 26K figure was out the door which would make the car under 24K...before taxes and plate...

i think it would have been around $26,571 after t&l but it wasnt certain since we didnt actually try to buy the car and if he really would have done only $200 over invoice. i just think its a rip that the invoice is so close to the msrp so that there is no room to bargain and on top of that there is no rebates for the camaro we asked.

Check out Rydells in Northridge , they are taking $1600 off msrp on all Camaros. Look for their ad in LA Times.

Oh no, here we go again. Whamslam3 was already raked over the coals about his sig and avatar in a thread a little while back. I mean, there was a guy that was just flat out attacking him. If I remember correctly, that color/stripe combo is exactly what he want to do to his!!!

Very cool little website. I've gone ahead and bookmarked it. My car was this:

My sticker price was $27,875 (with a bunch of options added to the normal 1LT). Which is below the dealer cost. Of course taxes and such brought that up to just about $30,000... I think I made off rather well.

To answer the OP... every dealership has what they call an "MSRP". This is what they need to sell it for, not what it's worth or what is the national average. I'd go elsewhere and look for the same vehicle a LOT cheaper.

Why wait? I hit up 3 places in one day, and another 4 or so via e-mails/phone calls. Keep after it and check EVERYWHERE. You'll find a decent deal.

are emails and phone calls worth it? do they actually tell you valuable info through the email/phone?
