Stop peeing in your pants when you hammer that bad boy. LOL, could not resist. Really if you have a sunroof it could be that or a bad window gasket. once in great while on older cars water would leak from the windsheild down and through the firewall and get on the floor.

Plugged Evaporator drain.

the A/C pulls moisture out of the cabin air. It collects on the Evap coils, and drains out a hose under the car. If it plugs, it overflows and drips down on the carpet, under the padding and can get the carpet wet all the way tothe back seat.

Take it to your dealer. Could be the heater core.

Yes AC condensate or heater core, especially on passenger side of car. That is usually where they are located

This is a known issue. Take it in asap. Sooner the better.

Scott is still pissed at the extensive work they had to do.

Hi - I just had this problem myself. The rubber grommet that connects the A/C drain line was "collapsed" just like in the picture
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...3&d=1278370339<-- the TSB

here is my post in a similar thread:

As an update, I took my car in because the floors were getting damp and some water would sputter out of the middle vent. The service manager at Lannan Chevrolet, when he saw the TSB that I brought in, told me that the grommet would be the second thing they would look at (first thing would be to blow some air through it, if they could). About a 1/2hour after I handed him the keys, he came to the waiting area with the tech, who was holding in his hand the grommet, and it looked exactly like it did in the picture in the TSB. He joked "Gotta love the work those robots do."

They reinstalled it the proper way and it's all set - the part was still in good condition, just "collapsed" as they call it. It's a one time fix, as it gets installed at the factory incorrectly. Once it's aligned properly, it shouldn't need to be fixed again.

What I was surprised at is how big the part is. The picture in the TSB does it no justice. I figured it was a 1" diameter part with a 1/4" hole or so. The thing is actually pretty darn big as it sat in nearly the entire palm of his hand, and the hole is a good 1" or so.

Did you pull your rug, My dealer pulled the rug and it was wet, the water will soak in the sound deadener and later rust, dealer gave me a car and said he will call when it`s ready.

no, they just re-did the grommet. I don't know how wet the floors are...I knew for sure when they were wet as there was moisture on the insides of my windows one morning. As of late though, nothing. I left the windows open yesterday too.

I am Scott. They had to take my entire inside of my car apart. The carpet was wet for only a week and car had molded under the carpet. I had taken it in a year early for the TSB that out on this. They did not fix it like I asked then when my car was dry.

So my dealer dented my car, gouged every piece of plastic in the dang thing, the dash got a nick and a cut seat cover and they gave it back to me like that and said here you car is fixed. I went off. Went to the GM of dealer and they had every interior plastic part of my car except the dash replaced and the seat fixed.

Amazing if they would of only done what they had been asked a year earlier to do when the TSB came out and I pointed out no water was draining under the car in a hot Alabama summer.

If the clean it right after the fix, the entire carpet has to come out and inside of car scubbed down and carpet cleaned and mold gotten rid off. It took the 3 days to do that. Then after they effed it up another 3 days at the body shop getting fixed.

Hey Scott! I had my passenger seat out and checkd mine out for myself, before I brought it in too the dealer, Yes they become quite a mess, A lot of guys here may think their car is fine till the rugs start too get a musty smell and the floor starts rusting,
molloni I would make the dealer take the rug out, This is a flaw right from the factory, and it is warranty.

I've had mine for less than 2 weeks and the front passenger floor gets wet every time I wash it. No, my window wasn't down and the door was not wet at all on the inside.

I took it in to the dealer today and the are sending me to a body shop to fix it. They said it was more than they wanted to take apart. Really??? I thought that was kind of weird. I tried to show the service guy the TSB on it and the grommets missing, but he just glanced at it and said to take that to the body shop.

So frustrating!! I just wanted my new perfect car! Now it has issues!!! Grrr...

There's a service bulliten on this very thing. the right top passenger pinch welds just below the windshield can leak. This area is under the cover where the wiper blades are. Mine was so bad it had been leaking on the large body connector on the right side kick panel area. The carpet was soaked front and rear on passenger side. The connector was corroded. I had crank issues with the car at one point before I realized the floor was wet. The wires for the fuel pump run thru this connector. I had to replace the whole connector and terminals and wires. there is no weather pack seals in these connectors of course because its inside the vehicle. fortunately I'm a mechanic so did all the work. I had to seal the pinch welds with a body sealant. This fixed the problem but now I have noticed the driver side is getting wet. I'm going to remove the whole carpet to make sure I got all the leaks eliminated. I'll run it thru the underbody car wash and have someone run a hose over the bottom of the windshield. What a pain but really need to resolve this for good. I've always dried the carpet by removing the trim so as to prop up the carpet and run a fan under it. I may even replace it once I know for sure all the leaks are gone. Might be a good time to run noise deadner on the floor and install the new shifter.
