The J pipes are used to eliminate drone frequencies. Only sound waves enter them, and they eliminate all drone in the exhaust without chaging the tone.

I looked on your website and only found the Mach X LLT for $870. Didn't see the J-pipes exhaust for an A6 V6.

Those were our older Camaro V6 kits...they didn't have the J pipes. Since then, we have updated the kit to the Mach X-LLT with J pipes, which is $899 shipped. Our web guy is in the process of updating our products on the site.

The older kits were called the Mach XLT. That kit is no longer available...only our newer updated Mach X-LLT which addressed any trouble spots in the earlier version kits. The newer Mach X-LLT fits on BOTH the automatic and manual V6.

Thanks for all your help with this. Just need to wait for tax return to get here and maybe update your site and you'll have another satisfied customer!

Does anyone with this system have shorty headers installed? I have Doug Thorleys on right, interested as to what it would to the tone with this system.

Headers will usually bring out more of the raw sound of the engine. Raw sound is not a bad thing...a bit more of that gurgle seems like a good way to describe it. Adding a long tube can cause some raspiness at high RPM's on most aftermarket exhausts, but a shorty should not have that quirk. Besides more of the raw sound, the volume will probably increase approximately 10-15%.

HA Unfortunately, we have no plans for a sale in the near future. The price of stainless has gone up, and we have decided to NOT raise our prices. The current price of the Mach X-LLT is $899 shipped. Don't forget that shipping is already included

To those that either have or have heard this system in person, how does the sound compare to the Flowmaster American Thunder kit. I currently have the Flowmaster American Thunder kit but am unsatisfied with the unbearable drone. I am very interested in this drone free kit but don't want to sacrifice that deep growl I currently have. It is hard for me to tell based off of the youtube clips. Thanks

Another question I had regarding this kit was how does this kit handle the weird AFM drone I'm currently getting. I understand that the J Pipes tune out the bad frequencies, but does it work for the AFM drone on an automatic v6?
