4 weeks at status 1100

I ask the dealer specificly - "Do you have an allocation for my order?"...

"Oh yeah, we have 2."

I ordered it with the Hurst shiffter at first, and then a week later cancelled the shifter when I found out it was not a "real" Hurst, but a GM special design.
I was told that since it was still on constraint, and I was status 1100 that it wouldnt matter.
Since then, people that have ordered both Hurst and non-Hurst, after me, have been increased in status and have TPW dates.

Am I being jerked around?

I find this dispectful and can not stand when they will put my desires secondary to their want of a sale, and usually will hand out a a$$ chewing in a NewYork minute when I percieve them taking advantage of me. I figure, I am the one dropping the coin and they have zero risk in an ordered car, and no advertisment burdon. Additionally, if they feel that they can treat me (the customer) in this manner, they I have no problem embarrassing them in front of their other customer and employees. They'll think twice about doing to people, the next time. Or at least remember the last bit-o-butt they lost doing it.

Either they don't have allocation, or they're not using it on your car. I'd find another dealer...

Something is fishy with your order, I ordered my 2SS with the Hurst Shifter on July 28 and my order is up to 3000 this morning.

Get your money back and go somewhere else.

Another story of a crappy dealer. If you don't go past 1100 in a week or under they don't have allocation or they aren't using it on you.

I don't believe 1100 has anything to do with constraints....they don't have allocation for you. If I was a dealer I would much rather sell a vehicle quickly than use that allocation on a vehicle that would sit...or possibly you have two personal orders ahead of you.

So I am "that guy"...

I am the guy that spends all day calling corprate to teach a liar a lesson.

I am the guy that spends $10 to keep them from stealing $5 from me.

So who do I call to complain and make as much trouble for this sales manager as possible?
How do I make his life suck for lying to me?
Phone numbers, names, ideas, whatever...can you help?

Again, this is not about the car. This is about his disrespect for me, and his willingness to forfit my desires as a customer for his tally sheet.

They need to make your order # go to 2000.....until it does, your order is just "in the system". Some dealer have lots of allocation, others have to wait for it...it all depends how many they've sold in the last 12 months during the "turn and earn" cycle.

I don't know. Call Chevrolet and file a complaint. Also file a complaint with BBB so future customers don't buy from them.

Then take your deposit back and buy from their competition.
