Should I Trust Valet Parking at Lollapalooza?

Heading to Chicago tomorrow for Lollapalooza, staying at the Westin Inn on the river. I really want to take my Camaro but am scared to death of handing off my key to someone who may not give a damn about my perfect car, door dings, etc. What would you do?

I read last week on yahoo about all the things that go on with valet parking employees and employers and what they do to cover up on site accidents...its scary knowing what goes on when your not there to look after your car...Like others have already said Never trust valet anywhere!

For the love of God NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Pretend you are 16 and someone hands you the keys to a Lambo. What would you do to it. They will do even worse.

I really want a Valet option on the car that won't let them utilize the full potential of the car. :(

Leave the car at home. You'll have more fun.

I'm going to bristol in a couple of weeks and would love to take mine ,but I made that mistake before of taking a nice car down there and worrying about it the whole time I was there. Never again.

I valet parked mine at a very high end Hotel week before last, the only other choice was a public high rise... uhhh... no... I made sure the guy saw me getting the mileage, and gave him a 50 dollar tip... Told him there was one more just like it if it came back with no extra mileage, and no door dings or scratches or hand prints on the interior or anything else... I think the car came back cleaner than it left, and there was only one mile added on the odometer, and since they parked it at a sister hotel a block and a half away, thats about right.... I was a wreck for a few minutes, but fine after it was over...

All this having been said, you gotta choose your fights carefully... A hundred dollars was worth it to me, I got to drive my car and didn't suffer any damage...and didn't have to suffer public parking...

Considering it's a music fest that is just there temporarily, I'd not let them valet park your car. But I used to have a buddy that loved performance cars and casino gambling. Over the years he had a 3rd Gen Camaro SS, a Z28, a WS6, and a 1984 Vette and all were modded. He always let the valets park those cars, but a casino is permanent so if he had suffered any damage he would have been able to find and sue those responsible. He never had problems. But again, since the music fest is just there on a temp basis, I'd pass.

And not one of those cars had a 'valet option' he could activate either.
