Love to see the IATs, especially after a hard run.

Chiller and Cabin air ON - 97* outside,I/C water temp 54-60* moving (75mph)....
54-60* stopped.

Chiller ONLY ON - 97* outside,I/C water temp (got 42* once) but mostly 46-52* moving 75mph, and 46-52* stopped.

Also ran some hard passes 0-120mph with chiller only on and started at 54* and only rose to 70* by the end and recovered back to 54* within one minute of cruising.

I have to get my SCT loaded up so I can log the actual IATs but it looks promising with the water temp that much lower. I will even when it was 100* it got it down to low 50's, now I hit some cooler rain whether on the way home and outside was 72* and the I/C temps stayed as low as they were when it was a 100* so if its hot its great but it doesn't get better as it gets cooler outside.
best news i heard for some time, keep us posted on dyno and track runs...that will make my final decision..tracy have sent some interested parties this way as i assume your aware of the kb posts about iat heat..

Ok so I am about to post this video.....and I didn't know but my phone was upright and I guess that means the video is side ways....so turn your screen sideways and have fun of 7 minutes in hell......lol I will get some better ones next week when we dyno and track it.

Does anyone know if the SCT can log IATs? I looked and it doesn't look like it, I may have to get a scanner or buy some software.

Do a search on Google for ultragauge. It seems fairly inexpensive but with a lot of PIDs.

Thanks Mike. This is set for the Whipple & KB also. Our plans were to log IAT's just to see as that is the true indicator, but with the intercooler that cold there has to be a drastic difference. The 0-120 runs show this is great for the dragstrip....as soon as you go WOT the compressor shuts off so no pasasitic power loss and the cooling capacity is enough to keep it cool for the average 1/4 mile run and the compressor re-engages after you lift and cools back down in seconds.

Thatís a good point, I can confirm that. After almost 2 yrs on my GTO I have only seen small decrease in temps even in winter close to 32deg. That is why we decided to eliminate the stage 3 that allowed Cabin AC without Super Chiller. So when defrost is on during cold weather there is nothing to worry about. Also the wiring and health of AC system was considered in dropping stage 3. If there were a malfunction its possible AC would be on with both systems off. That is something you donít want ever. With Stage 1 both systems run all the time when AC is on. With stage 2 you can turn off Cabin but there is no way even with a malfunction that AC will be on without at least 1 system working.

Thank you for donating your car! I know what a sacrifice that is. That is an Awesome car to drive, I love the shifter. It is a pleasure working with you. This product could not happen without someone stepping up with there car. The numbers you posted above are exactly what I expected to see. The Variable Compressors used on modern cars limit extreme low temps. If we had Compressors that pumped full blast I could make adjustments to lower ICWT even lower. Variable output over rides any adjustments to maintain the factory specs.

Yeah when I got home I had the A/C off for the last 30 minutes and just turned on the chiller only in the garage for 5 minutes and backed up and there was no drip.

I know it not a sure test, but I know if the cabin a/c is on it has drip within a minute or so. If both are on it will drip.

No problem. Hopefully the IAT temp comes down as much as we think it should with the water temp coming down that much I don't see how it can't.

LOL yeah kinda but I never really had any luck being the first one........done it many times and always end up saying..uhh wish I would have waited on that one,LOL.

But I have to say looking at the install and the "CRAFTSMENSHIP" that was used on this install I think this will work out. I am sure they will improve on little things as they go forwardsuch as gauges for IAT and such, but all in all I am happy with the way it was installed and hope to see the IATs drop as much as I think they will.

tracy, i have reread most posts and believe i understand pretty much the way this should work..wot the compressor shuts off and when releasing throttle compressor kicks back on...my question is after a good burnout , would it not be easier to shut off a/c at the staging light so there is 0 draw from compressor and just turn back on after hitting the 1/4 ...reason i say, us m6 guys have to ride the clutch a little and shift sometimes early to keep under control, sitting at tree @3500rpm , i am assuming the a/c is is still on... concerned that a/c would try to run during launch and inbetween shifts..so we are not always in wot, till we get into 2nd.. in my case , i have not been able to get out of hole wot and powershift thru 2nd without breaking loose...just wanted your thoughts on this...takes about 15-30 seconds to stage and get the green..thanks
