V6:
Front Bar - 22.2 x 4 mm
Rear Bar - 21.7 x 3 mm
Front Springs - 25 Nm spring rate
Rear Springs - 53 Nm spring rate

V8:
Front Bar - 23 x 4.2 mm
Rear Bar - 23 x 3 mm
Front Springs - 27 Nm spring rate
Rear Springs - 66 Nm spring rate

Also, the A6 V8 and M6 V6 use the same 3.27 limited slip rear end.
Both V8 and M6 V6 use the same 30 mm left and 40 mm right axles.

Well I just bought the 2SS with an auto. I have a friend with the same car only a stick. Yes he can drive a stick and has raced many. Seems the engine with small mods out powers the clutch. It Will Slip! Small mods are just a set of headers and cold air intake. The cluch is a bit weak. So if you are going to race it, first thing to do Replace the stock clutch. The paddle shift on the 6 speed auto works so nice on the track :-)

Hi Milk. I noticed that this area of the wiki still wasn't updated. Any chance you can find the time to update it. I still think that it will be useful to help others (like me) avoid confusion as to where all the speakers are coming from.

Also of note, if I'm not mistaken, the oil capacity for the v6 is 6 quarts, not 7.6.

Just was looking at colors for 10-12' camaro's,noticed there is a touch-up paint listed for the 2012 only called "wheatland yellow" and rally yellow is still listed as well,?

Maybe it's for the nose, bumper, and gas tank cover that never match the rest of the car right? lol.

i need help i can deside which to do supercharge or stroke? to get around 650hp at the rear wheels. i prised out both and the yboth come out to the same price. anyone have any input

supercharging will be more day-to-day driver-friendly, but a stroker will have much more wow-factor

what causes the miles to not register on my 2012 camaro SS LS3. I dont know if its a fuse or what but I cant find the fuse or relay

A Few Suggestions From A Prospective 5th Gen'er

Hi all. Longtime lurker here, but just recently joined.

I have found the wiki very useful, but over my time lurking have found other odds and ends of information that I think would be useful to a prospective 5th Gen owner that I don't see listed, or at least easily found. For example:
  • RS Package description
I know that for the '10 and '11 model years, this package included appearance items such as unique (midnight silver) 20" wheels with summer tires (VERY important info for us members that live in the northern climates), HID headlights w/halo rings, a rear spoiler, darkened tail lamps, body colored roof ditch moldings, as well as RS badges (or red SS badges). Then in 2012, a few of those items became standard equipment across the line, such as the spoiler and tail lamps, while the 2012 RS package added the body colored sharkfin antenna.

I know some of the RS package changes are listed in the 2012 model year changes section, and that the spoiler is listed as being available with the RS package in the 2010 equipment comparison section, but it seems you have to hunt around to find all of the RS package information. Also, I have seen a number of threads asking "Do I Have an RS?", etc. It would be nice to have a full package description in its own section. Also, the RS is only available on LT trim and above, correct? That would be good to know as well.
  • LS Gearing Differences
I have also found during my lurking that at some point (2012, maybe?) the gearing in the LS trim was changed from the rest of the lineup to allow for slightly better fuel economy, at the cost of slightly worse acceleration (or is it only top end that's affected--I'm not sure ). This, too, would be good to have added to the wiki.

A couple of other bits of info I think would be useful additions would be the limited top speed of the different trim levels. From what I've gleaned from the forum, the LS is electronically limited to 115mph, the LT to 145mph, and the LT/RS to 155mph. I think the SS is 165mph? I don't remember. I've seen a number of threads or discussions with varying opinions about this, and having the info in the wiki could save some repeat questions, IMO. Maybe adding why would be good info too--I think it's due to tires, but I don't know if the LS gearing has anything to do with it either.

Maybe there could just be an "Option Packages" section added that discusses RS, Convenience/Connectivity, Rear Vision, etc., in more detail, with the changes across the model years?

Anyway, this wiki is great and very helpful for a hopeful 5th Gen owner like me, and I really appreciate whoever put it together. I apologize if the information I am asking to be added is already there, and I just missed it somehow.

I would have gone with the stick, but it's for exactly the reason stated above (the COMMUTE) that I went automatic. I regretted that my first Camaro (1978) was AT. Still, these days, I needed my 2012 RS to be auto...drat. Stick is just more fun and I feel like I have more control.

I recently put my factory wheels back on. I had aftermarket wheels no problems with them. So I put them back on I rebalanced them 2 thinking it would go away but hasn't. Brake system seems fine. No problems with the car before wondering if you could help before I start throwing money at something I don't know. Oh yea it shakes after I start going over 65.
