Hello to all!

I am not sure if this is represented here, but does anyone know of the ORIGIN of the Camaro name? Well, I have found this little tid-bit that I think should be a part of the WiKi! Check it out:

Camaro Folklore
Ever wonder where the name Camaro came from? In the archives of Chevy folklore, this question was asked when the new Camaro was first introduced. What they told the press was that the word Camaro came from an "obscure 1935 French-to-English dictionary," and it means "comrade, pal, or chum."

My best buddy (who has a 65 Convertible Chevelle found this on ultimateperformance.ca)

AUDIO / VIDEO / NAV / BLUETOOTH

2010 Boston Acoustics Audio System Specs
(standard on 2LT and 2SS models, available on 1LT and 1SS models)

  • 245-watt
  • 9 Speaker
  • 6.5-inch woofers in each door
  • 1-inch tweeters in A-pillars
  • 3.5-inch center channel speaker (in the upper instrument panel)
  • 7-channel sub-woofer (on rear shelf)
I think that this section could be clearer in how it breaks down the "9 speaker system". In other words, it's not clear how Chevy counts the 9 speakers.

My suggestion is something like the following:

Total System Power - 245 Watts
(2) 6.5" Speaker in Each Door
(2) 1" Speaker in Each A-Pillar
(1) 3.5" Center Speaker
(4) Co-Axial 6"x9" Speakers on Rear Deck (each 6"x9" has 2 speakers)

I'll do it tomorrow.

Milk,

I'm not sure if you made any changes or not, but the way it currently reads is still quite confusing:

Specifically, the "7-channel sub-woofer (on rear shelf)" part appears to be incorrect, or at the very least, misleading. Again, I would suggest breaking it down as to how the 9 speakers add up:

Total System Power - 245 Watts
(2) 6.5" Speaker (Woofer) in Each Door
(2) 1" Speaker (Tweeter) in Each A-Pillar
(1) 3.5" Center Speaker
(4) Co-Axial 2-Way 6"x9" Speakers on Rear Deck (each 6"x9" has a Woofer & Tweeter)
(9) Speakers Total

Cheers,
-Alan

hi everybody! i am wanting to add a CAI system to my 2lt rs. i would like to go to a 4 inch system. the way i would like to do it is from the 3 inch throttle body add a 4 to 3 inch reducer[swapped around of course] to 4 inch aluminum tube to 4 inch MAF sensor[ if it is available] housing to another 4 inch tube and then the filter. what would like to know is will i be able to do this without a tune. or should i just stick with 3 inch all the way

Some additions for the wiki, suspension specs.

V6:
Front Bar - 22.2 x 4 mm
Rear Bar - 21.7 x 3 mm
Front Springs - 25 Nm spring rate
Rear Springs - 53 Nm spring rate

V8:
Front Bar - 23 x 4.2 mm
Rear Bar - 23 x 3 mm
Front Springs - 27 Nm spring rate
Rear Springs - 66 Nm spring rate

Also, the A6 V8 and M6 V6 use the same 3.27 limited slip rear end.
Both V8 and M6 V6 use the same 30 mm left and 40 mm right axles.

Would be help full to some, thanks.
