APEX RACING SCOOP DIY

Installation of my Apex racing scoop and windshield washer relocation kit.

I needed to take off more than the directions say to. The directions must be for an SS. I actually took off an inch and 1/2 too much so be sure to measure carefully.

Black and Decker electric saw and jigsaw cutting tools. The hand held jigsaw gave me more control but I should have sprung for the Dremel.

Used masking tape as a guide as the directions state.

Drained the stock windshield washer bottle into a bucket. Removed fill hose and pump. Remove the bolt on the right which you will reuse to mount the scoop. There are also 2 more bolts on the left...

I used a 3 ton floor jack to raise the car up then used a pair of 3 ton jack stands with hockey pucks to avoid any scratches or dents.

Take off wheel and remove the screws and clips to take out the wheel well cover.

Remote fill mounted.

Remote fill installation. Drilled two holes with a 5/16" drill bit on the back of my CAI.
