worst part is to buy our LLTs brand new, its like 8 or 9k
A brand new LS3 is 6k I believe.
From everyone I talked to, its possible to do a motor swap, just extensive. I mean look at all these guys dropping in LSX motors in.

hmmm i never really thought about that, thats a good idea man. it would be a complete modded car technically lol any idea how much an L99 cost??

and the best part is you made the car your own so its pretty awesome. You get the same power of the turbo kit with basic boltons and you could always throw a supercharger and get to 600rwhp easily

A turbo installed is going to cost about 6-7k and thats with our crappy tranny and axels

My first car too man! Alright well suspension and brakes dont have to be done but should be done down the road. Tranny is a must and I believe axels. The only thing I have to figure out is the ECM. Once I find how much that will cost me im set!

A TR6060 is about 1500
LS3 is about 3-4k
Exhaust is about 750
Headers 4-500
ECM ??
Brembos are $400(later project)
Suspension is 1k (later project)
Most important part is having a hook up in a shop to do the labour.
Im getting everything but the exhaust used so theyre pretty cheap to find. heck some meber will even trade brembos for stock v6 ones

this is my first car, i know if i was to sell it, id prob cry lmao so you would do an engine swap? wouldnt the exhaust, suspension and brakes need changed too?

you wanna know the worst part? I couldve gotten a used C6 with 20k on it for 35k which is cheaper then what I paid for my 6. Honestly, if this car didnt mean so much to me, I wouldve upgraded to an SS by now for sure. But shes my pride and joy and I always had the intentions of dropping an 8 in her one day, just might be doing it over this winter as opposed to 10 years down the line lol

i should change my pic back so people dont think its mine, but then they will be confused again haha yeah man with the money gonna have to be put into them for the SC, then install, then w.e else we'll need to beef it up, and only getting about the ss power. idk if it will be worth it. would we need suspension, brake upgrades with that power added?
idk if i would want to later upgrade to an SS, or find a used C5 Vette for pretty cheap and mod the hell out of that. get that v8 sound with less weight.

lmao yeah I saw your sig and was like did he upgrade?! Honestly man, after looking at all the costs for turbos or superchargers, it literally adds up to about the same costs to get an LS3, and tr6060. So far I set my mind on doing an engine transplant, unless some crazyy sick option comes out for us. 400rwhp is not enough for me to stay with the 6, 500rwhp and ill be happy
