Your right about the gas. Seemed like Canada had higher octane gas. I just got your message, but I actually went to Lands End before catching the ferry over to kodiak.

I'm happy that you made the trip ok without to much damage to your ride. I was suprised to see that we could get higher octane fuel on the way up than we have here. Not sure what you will find in Kodiak.

If you get the time go into the lands end and have a bucket of steamed clams and a cold beer. It's a good way to spend some time watching the fishing boats coming and going. I use to go to Homer every summer and help my dad who had a halibut charter going there. Nice place to visit but cost to much to live there.

Yeah I made it up to Homer, actually waiting to get on a ferry to Kodiak right now. It was definately a successful trip with no major damage. I was actually expecting the road conditions to be worse but everything worked out. All I have to do now is wash the car up really good so I can get the bugs and dust off.
