Okay gang. If you looked over the e-mail & attached links from Somernights, you saw that the gates open for the main event at 1:00. The only way we can park together as a club will be to meet in Somerset & cruise in the gate together. I need everyone who plans to go to verify and let me know if you plan to drive up independently or meet a group of others. If you plan to go either send me a PM with your cell phone # or if meeting a group to cruise up together send it to a "group leader" for that meeing point so that if there are problems/delays we can contact each other. One of the CKCC members lives in Somerset & is going to let us know of a good place to meet in Somerset to cruise in together. I'm thinking we may want to get into town, check in our hotels early, drop off luggage/freshen up, then meet for lunch & gather everyone, then cruise over together. I will send out a group e-mail once a meeting place/time is decided on. Everyone feel free to chime in here with thoughts, ideas, comments,etc & check in often as departure time nears. I'm excited.

When i went in April, cars just parked on the side of the street waiting for their groups/gates to open. But since there are multiple entrances it might be a little confusing, so meeting somewhere on the strip perhaps might be best... Its not far from the show.

Camaros and Firebirds will have a special gate they have to go through since we got our own street... Just a heads up

Camaro and Firebirds will enter at gate on S. Main in front of new library. Best route to this gate is east off US 27 at traffic light 11 to next light (about 1 block) then left into down town. This will take you right to the gate you need.

Okay what do you guys think about this. We could meet at the Somerset Ruby Tuesday. It sounds like it is close to the gate we need to go in. Those who are there early enough can meet around noon & we can have lunch (if enough of us have lunch I can probably get us a discount). Then we can be ready to leave by 1:00 or maybe 1:30 at the latest (we want to get choice parking for the event). Let me know what you think & if it sounds okay to everyone I will set it up (get them to reserve us parking & tables & possibly a discount) Chime in folks. I still need a final count so please confirm if you are going & send me your cell phone number or onstar car phone number (in a PM or e-mail).

Okay gang, it is getting close! Several folks still have not conformed whether or not they are going. By going througo all threads on the subject & the e-mails I have recieved, I count between 9 & 14 Camaros & 13-18 people who have at some point indicated they were going. I really need to know: 1) who still plans to go; 2) how many people/cars; 3) if you plan to meet & cruise up with a group (& if so where) or drive independently; 4) if you plan to have lunch at Ruby Tuesday in Somerset with us &/or meet there just to cruise into the show together (the only way to park with the clun group); and a cell/onstar ph# so we can contact you if there is a delay/problem. I talked to the Manager of Ruby Tuesday & they are reserving a room for us with big windows looking right at the parking places they will also reserve for us. They will do everything they can to keep us on schedule & get us out by 1:00. We can call in our orders ahead of time if we want to. My daughter will try to bring me by some little menu folders so I will have those. They will bring our checks with our orders so we can leave whenever we are ready. I checked with my hotel & they said we can call to see if we can check in early (before Ruby Tuesday's) or call & let them know we will be late check-in's & rooms will be held (that was my hubby's worry). Probably most hotels are similar. You might want to have the hotel ph# with you. I hope we really have a good turn out!

Well if everything goes good tommorow, I'll have my car back from being Supercharged. I'm driving down to Alabama in the morning to pick it up. If all goes well, I'll be at the corvette museum Sataurday at 9:00 am. I'm not sure if I'll get to stay all day in somerset unfortunatly. My son has a Baseball tournament in Burkesville, KY all day Sataurday. I really want to cruise down with everyone though so we'll see how everything goes. Wish me luck.

Great day for all who attended the Somernights event this weekend. There were 1100 cars to look at. I didn't see them all cause there were so many. The town does a very nice job making all it's guest feel special. I'm looking forward to returning at the end of July for the next event. If you like REAL MUSCLE CARS this is the place. After the show all the cars cruised up and down the main strip on a wide 6 lane highway. Lot of loud cars (some with opened headers) roaring at each other. Lot of fun.

We had a great turnout & a great time. Just a few minor glitches but that will just make the next time better,......we learned a few things to do differently/better next time. I am thriled at the number of folks we had at the event. It would have been even more if not for a few folks having last minuute issues come up. So......Lets have an even bigger showing next time! BTW waiting impatiently for video to be posted!!!!!!!

One lesson Ruby and the rest of us learned was to NEVER let Jeff LEAD!!!!! LOL!! He gets so excited only the most brave can keep up with him. We still love ya Jeff.

yah! Right! I think all that showed up had a great time. I for one am ready to do it again!!
