FYI Regarding travel thru Louisville!
WARNING: There is MAJOR construction on the I-65 bridge that crosses from Louisville to Indiana, according to current reports, it will be down to ONE lane heading North at the time of CamaroFest, so the timeline may be a bit off for the Lou to Indy trip! Traffic in Louisville is a mess all day, everyday right now on all interestates that cross thru the city including I-65, I-64 & I-71!
Alternate route: From the South or East, folks might want to divert onto the Watterson Expressway (I-264) West bound, follow it around the city and take I-64 W (St. Louis) to cross the river, then take the Indiana side loop (I-265) back over to I- 65 to avoid the Kennedy Bridge!

Dang good info... I haven't been around until tonight and was just looking up info for your last PM... I knew we were planning a big cruise from Louisville on up to Indy...

Seems we may need to use the alt route... I'll keep you posted when we nail it down.

I was thinking Louisville was expecting to be done with all the bridge construction by the end of July. We'll have to keep an eye on the progress. I'm thinking you'll be good by the time of the Fest.

NHRA Nationals are also being held in Louisville that same weekend which might also cause some traffic issues as well. :(

Perhaps my advice to tourists and travelers is to plan your vacation, even if you don't like to plan. If I had not found a site with Portland-Oregon food tour in advance and had not paid for participation, I would have lost a great opportunity to try the local cuisine and get to know the national flavor better.
