I know its been a while since your post but i had the same problem the day after I bought my car. I took the car to the dealer i bought it from and they used a mix of muriatic acid used for detailing cars. hope it helps.

Our water is hard here so I know its mineral spots. I tried white vinegar but that didn't work. I am just going to take the stripes off and have them painted. problem solved.

I use vinyl cleaner... cannot remember the name but it is in a YELLOW spray can and it works great. Stripes look new again.

I use Nothing but WIZARD Mist and Shine on my entire 2013 Yellow with black strips. But I also use only microfiber cloths with the Mist & Shine

I dry the car off as soon as I finish washing it then just use Windex on them while cleaning the windows. Works for me.
