After seeing some posts you've left for other members, I think I'll remand that friend request now. Being that I'm a prick and all. You shouldn't get any any free cars from your daddy, spoiled brat. Have fun boo-hooing it up in your Charger, drama queen.
Bottom line is, be happy you have something to drive, and don't get bent outta shape because it's not your dream car. Take care of the Charger, treat it nice, and maybe you can use it for trade-in in the future. I wish I had a trade in. I'm 10 years older than you, and I've been pining after the new Camaro since 2006, and still no 5th gen.
And let's just be clear. In no way did I "go off on you" agreed?
Obviously you got a little offended by some of the responses to your "worst day" thread, judging by the other comments below. Nobody "went off" on you. You post a thread on a public forum, and you're going to get opinions. Now I understand that the Camaro is your dream car, and you feel you're entitled as such, but don't worry man. So you have to wait awhile. Just be grateful that you have a car at all. Then save your money (I never said you had no job, so calm thyself) and trade that Charger in for what you really want asap.
Besides man, if I had a brand new Camaro (or any new car for that matter) when I was 16, it'd be totaled by now. Instead, I learned my lesson in a 73 pos, and glad I did. Even at 18, in my first Camaro (my 2nd car) my inexperience led to my beloved Camaro sitting in the shop for months while I rode the bus, because I couldn't afford to repair the damage I'd done.
i didnt go off on you. My point was that you should not complain when you're getting something for free and call it the worst day of your life. I wish I could have been that fortunate to get a present like that for graduating. If you go back and read I actually offered congrats on the grad and never said a word about buying your own and getting a job.
It's ok... I promise my son stuff too and then well the time comes and I don't have the money.. You are very lucky to get a car. I saved about 10 years for my camaro down payment. Just take whatever your dad buys you, say thanks a lot, and drive it for a few years so you don't insult him.
