EPA TO SET VERY STRINGENT EMISSION STANDARDS EARLY NEXT YEAR.

The Obama administration has now successfully pressured the EPA into determing auto emissions as an "endangerment" to people and mandate "Prius" type tailpipe carbon dioxide emittance. Prior emission standards were never based on CO2 emissions. There are probably a lot of you who voted for this guy, but he and the Democrats want to kill the performance car ASAP. The Wall Street Journal (and other media outlets) have been reporting this.

Future high horsepower options are dead on arrival. Now they are going to limit the CO2 exhaust output which will severly impact power. And don't think that smaller turbocharged engines can get around this. You cannot develop power without CO2 being expelled. Air goes into an engine and must come out to produce power. The first damaging wave will be the 2012 cars.

As stated in Motor Trend, the current crop of muscle cars may be witnessing their last golden sunset.
