I actually shopped around a little bit, calling husker motomotive, Duteau's and others around the state seeing how the price and wait would differentiate. Surprising a lot of dealers.knew nothing. and i think a lot acted like they did but really didn't. The guys at Duteaus seemed cool and half way up on their stuff, but really when it all came down to it everyone i spoke with said they would be selling at MSRP, and acted like that was my birthday present or something claiming on how everyone "But them" were selling it for way over sticker.

I talked with Duteau's Chevrolet here in Lincoln about delivery dates, and they know that I didn't order from them, so they had no reason to feed me a line. But any way, they said that if you ordered now(I think this was 2 weeks ago) that you wouldn't see your car until October. I think 8-9 months sounds a little long to me. Make sure your dealer has an allocation, and will remain open otherwise it will be a long time before you see it. Absolutely don't pay over the MSRP. Both Duteau in Lincoln and H&H in Omaha are caharging only MSRP, in fact our's ending up being less than what we ordered for! We ordered from H&H in Omaha in October, hoping it would move faster in the "big city"! But, we got word this Monday that she will be here by next Friday!!! Please brother, let me know if you need any more help. We have ordered lots of cars and with Camaro5's help know about all the ups and downs of the rebirth of this legend.

Hey man im from north platte a little ways west of you.. i was curious of how long they estimated for it to take to get your car.. i ordered from a local dealer here in N.P and i got a 8-9 month period.........

Hey everybody ,I just got an email from my dealer. Of course I just about died when I saw his name on the address line with "Camaro order" on the subject line. But we have finally moved up to 3400 on the event list, "should" be built in 8-11 days. Anyway, some progress finally!!!!!

HANG IN THERE!!!!!!!...the wait is well worth it in the end...you want your car to be perfect when you get it, so we can't rush the process along, right?

We ordered on October 17th, 2008! I have yet to figure out this whole process, this has been such a mess for us. But you have given me hope. It seems like the priority around here has been the SSs. As long as it arrives in good shape and the dealer has promised no surprises, I will be glad. But the wait is killing us!!!

thanks for the update and i'm looking forward to cheering for you on your delivery day and seeing your photos...the only reason we didn't get a sunroof, is because my husband and son are very tall and i was afraid the sunroof would lower the "ceiling" of the car...when did you order yours?...mine was ordered 1/2/09-delivered to me 5/19/09!!!
