    It sounded pretty good, however the mass air flow sensor didn't fit correctly and was giving my ECU the wrong readings which was making me run lean and I was losing hp and mpg. I bought an Airaid and I love it. Personally I suggest not doing what I did and buying a legit CAI.

    Hi, I saw a picture from way back that showed your "home made" cai. I found some stuff at ORielley's that is a universal thing with elbows that looks like what you used. I just wanted some input on how it worked and if and what were the problems involved. And if you replaced it with a model specific unit what, if any, were the advantages of that.
