I was going back and forth with IOM and the RJT but since I am PCSing to Ft Hood later this year and then quickly to Iraq, I'm going to have to wait until I get back in mid 2011 to order my Camaro. It suks waiting, but its the best decision financialy for myself and family. I guess I'll end up with a 2012 and live vicariously thru until then.

Wow those prices are sick. I don't blame you for waiting. I just hope you have more patience than I do. I've been trying to move out of an apartment and into a home but ended up buying the Camaro first. Priorities.....

I really appreciate your comments! I'm trying to represent SA the best I can. I wasn't sure how it would turn out. I think I got lucky with the whole setup. I don't know how long you'll be stationed in Virginia but if plan to buy here in SA check out Dan Hall from Lundquist Chevrolet in Castroville. He also shares a passion for the Camaro so it was really nice to work with him. IOM is the way to go! Good luck and please post pics when you get her!

Thank you for representing America. Stay safe!

With SGT Ackbar, I think I was already in Iraq. He killed a cool S2 CPT that I liked that I had seen the day before I left. I was on the 3rd Convoy into Iraq with Eagle 6, I found out about it either in Iraq or somewhere in western kuwait but I'm not sure. I do know that I couldn't talk to my unit or family for at least a week to let them know I was OK.

For Geraldo and the chem trailers, I know I was already north, near Karbala.

yeah. During OIF 03 I was in 801st MSB. We recovered all the IED damaged vehicles, handled everything that was shipped in AND did all calibrations. Were you there when that NUT (SGT Ackbar) threw those grenades in the DIV TOC in Kwait? My guys had to hunt and clear our areas to find him. Or when Geraldo Rivera told our convoy route on CNN prior to G Day? Or when we caught those guys dumping 55Gal Drums of chemicals in the Euphrates? Or the trailers they were making chemical weapons????

    I was in... DISCOM

    B Co 426th FSB 93 to 98
    C Co 801st MSB 98 to 04
    HHC 501st SIG 04 to 05

I was also in the change over / reorganization when we renamed all the units!

All in all I spent 12 years there (not counting deployments) I loved the 101st.
I went through 3 promotions while I was there so it will always be 1st in all my duty locations!

I was in the 101st from Dec '00 to Jan '07. Most of my time there I was in Div G2. I was also a Rakkasan during OEF in '02. I'm stationed @ Fort Belvoir, VA now.
