I was reading write up,with rebars to replacing the OEM Bremboes with the Hawk Pads. Can you tell me if you experienced ant squealing ,dust and was the brake performance better than the Bremboes or worst.I have seen reviews where the Hawk Plus was hard on rotors and squealed quite a bite and the were not happy with them.If you had good results ,can you supply me with the parts number for both front and back and where you purchased them.My 2010 RS/SS is due and I like to replace them with something that's not quite so dusty but still be easy on the Rotors and still give provide mew with good braking performance for street use.Appreciate any help with my decision.
The curb was a stupid mistake on my part, there was sand on the road and I should have slowed down when I saw my buddy break the rear of his stang loose. I have a spare set of rims so I swaped them. I have the stock Pzero tires on the car now but would like to find a set of drag radials for the rear when I go to the ¼ mile. I have not changed my brake fluid yet but plan on doing that sometime soon. I have a little done to the engine on top but need to upgrade my brakes and suspension this winter. The car drops in the front when I take a hard corner and I can get smoke rolling off the front tires when I run hard into the corners. I don’t plan on going off the track but I will keep that bad corner in mind and make it a point to avoid it. I need to have the speed limiter removed on my computer. Right now my limiter limits out at 164mph. If you plan on going and don’t hear from me within a day or so of posting on here give me a call so I don’t miss out. 319-560-6759 Roy...
I have that weekend off from the firehouse but may be working in the field. Only time will tell, keep me informed if you plan on attending. I would want to go with someone who has been involved before. Looks like a blast and I hope I wouldn’t damage the car. I was driving a little too fast the other day and damaged a rim on the curb; luckily I have a spare set. What do you run for tires when you go to the track? Do you know what your car tops out at? What speeds do you reach on the straight away? How do your brakes hold up? Sorry about all the questions, I am getting more interested all the time…
Let me know what you have planned for Mid America. It looks like a blast and I think the wife would be in for the fun. Do I need to attend a driver’s safety day? What dates are you looking at? What do I need for gear and equipment? Any other info, I did not find much on the web site.
