So my wife and I raced (her in the jeep), she started out in front of me on the "on ramp" getting on the interstate, I caught her and passed her pretty easily (the TBSS had built tranny with 3200 stall, headers, exhaust, CAI, tune, efan, UDP) the srt8 was stock...

Another instance, I raced a brand new srt8 at the track (it had like 80 miles on it) we lined up, they jumped me, I ran a faster ET but they out mph'd me and I still didn't run them down at the end of the 1/4 (that was with above bolt-ons)...I ran a best of 12.83 at that point (which was one of the fastest bolt-on AWD times with no weight reduction and not living in New England where they have crazy DA).

I sold the jeep and kept the TBSS....but i'm a GM guy...that srt8 mpg was bad...12 mpg...I get up to 17 inthe tbss and that is with a 418 ci ls3.

    Hope that helps

Jeep SRT8-PRO's: Faster stock, handles better stock, ~looks cooler
CON's: Horrid MPG, not as much gains from mods, more expensive, smaller interior, cannot tow without fabricating a hitch, crappy stereo, HARD to tune (no HPT or EFIlive support)

TBSS-PRO's: Lower initial cost, easy to mod (all GM engine parts are interchangable), cheaper to mod, bigger gains from mods, larger interior, CAN tow, easy to tune, available 2wd and awd, respectable MPG acheivable, better stock stereo (bose > boston acoustics)
Con's: slower stock (you have to do some significan't mods to make it ALOT faster than a stock SRT8), must upgrade tranny asap (expensive or swap to an 4l80), mpg still isnt' super, seats arent as good as srt8, even with lowering & upgraded sways still doesn't handle like the srt8
