And congratulations! You've got the rest of your life ahead of you now - whatcha gonna do with it?

I'm going to Ohio State this fall, majoring in Animal Science w/ concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

I'll be sure to go up one of these Fridays. I just got promoted at work so I work longer hours now, but I'll find time.

Incidentally, if you're not doing anything tomorrow around lunch time, maybe you could swing by Fenwick...we're having a senior cook-out or whatever and I think a Camaro would be a hell of a lot more interesting than the folks at school...:D

AS/Pre-Vet - that's great! I started out in that when I attended Purdue but ended up switching over to a dual-major in geosciences and life sciences as the vet school was just going to cost too much.

Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow to pay for my Camaro. Otherwise I guarantee your cookout would be greatly enhanced by Merlin's presence - wienies would go un-bunned, and tater salad would sit and spoil in the sun while everybody checked him out :-)

That's cool, I applied to Purdue and was accepted. OSU's closer to home though. I've wanted to be a veterinarian for most of my life...either that, or GM Vice Chairman of Global Product Development, and it doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon. :D

I will definitely have to make the trip to Dayton to see Merlin one of these days...possibly on June 12th if there isn't a random graduation party that day. Unfortunately my dad never bought any of the Camaros he built at Norwood, so you may all be stuck staring at my boring '07 Malibu LS...:yikes:

Congratulations BartKing! Thanks for the call Saturday to tell me about your delivery. I'm looking forward to us getting together. Maybe we take a ride to Dayton and have a pair of RJT bookends in the parkinglot. Enjoy!!!

Any of you fellow Ohioans going to forgo the front license plate? I'm thinking about it, but not sure if I should. What do you think?

EarliestMemory 06-02-2009 12:17 PM

I don't want to give the :character0229: one more reason to pull me over, so it's front plate for me. I know a lot of people here will think I'm nuts (OK, I am nuts :bonk:), but the front plate doesn't really bother me - maybe I'm just used to them. I don't like the idea of having my front fascia drilled, but I don't see the front plate requirement going away, so... :iono:

I don't have the front plate on my '07 Malibu.

No PLATE for me.

bballplaya210 06-02-2009 06:19 PM

I had no front plate on my s2000 and I got a $100 ticket from a cop while I was sitting in traffic at the Polaris exit of 71. He didn't pull me over for something else and just tack that on, he pulled me over specifically for having no front plate. You would have thought that it deserved only a warning since I have a perfect driving record, but he was jealous and gave me a ticket.

LadyinBlue 06-02-2009 07:32 PM

After a non-scientific survey I have noted at least 1/3 of the vehicles in Dayton do not have a front license plate.

However, at this point in time my front license plate is technically in the front of my car. The left front of the car. Under the driver's seat...

Hey oldbowtie and bartking-

Please do come out to Dayton some Friday evening. Imagine our three GM Gems (two rubies flanking a sapphire) together - what a knockout!

No-drill front plate solutions

Good no-drill solutions for front license plates for those who might have missed it in the general forum. Looks like I can tell my dealer NO drilling after all - AND could be a nice project for my husband LOL.
