I may be wrong, but it wouldn't surprise me. Same goes for the 2013 1LE model. Probably only going to be offered in Red, White, Black or maybe Gray. Yellow? nah, that's for the Transformers editions...okay, sorry, I am being sarcastic. Its still early as far as the 2013 MY is concerned! Hey! Maybe GM will reverse their cranial-rectal inversion and offer the masses a real neat blue metallic...something like the old LeMans Blue or Mulsanne Blue?! Yeah, RIGHT.

BRM is in the order guide as available on the SS and ZL1 and now labeled as 'not available at startup' I hope they are on track for the August builds of this new color and the verts.

ZL1 still only gets black interior for 2013 as well.

My company (Raytheon) is a supplier to GM so I was able to get discount pricing because of this. Also getting a USAA discount ($750). Yesterday I received a $500 GM private offer letter good until 7/2. I also test drove a 2012 but ordered a 2013 when I found out my order for a 2012 was submitted too late. Electric power steering has been out for a while now. Also, I believe the Corvettes have had it for some time now as well as the 2012 ZL1's. I'm going on faith that the electric steering will be just fine if not an improvement.

I think I posted this on some other thread, they all blend in after a while. But I tried ordering a 2012 2SS/RS Vert, IBM, on 4/7/12 and the dealer took my deposit and order and a month later calls to say they are out of allocation. They should have known that before I stepped in the door. Got my grand deposit back and had to fly to CO to find my car, but persistence pays.

Not to be a buzzkill, but is it any wonder why GM has the problems they have, you have to beg to buy a car off them, meanwhile they are half the size they were just a decade ago and a mere pittance of where they were in 1960 when Dinah Shore was singing their praises? Do you realize just the Chevy Division of GM in 1960 sold more cars than all of Ford/Mercury/Lincolns combined?

I love my Camaro but GM needs to learn how to sell cars the customer wants (Camaros, Vettes) and forget about pipedreams like the Volt.

Thanks,

Tony

I think I'm sitting down to preorder a 1LE this week. Will see what happens but thanks for the info.

:help:If I gave the dealer my deposit of $1,000 on June 22nd, when should I be expecting any word from GM regarding build dates and other ordering info? Shouldn't I be receiving an email with all of the particlulars of my order?

Thanks,
Colonel

Your dealer should be able to give you a preliminary order sheet with all the details of your order. Once they submit your order to GM they should be able to tell you the TPW (Target Production Week) around the time your order goes to 3400 status.

so in roughly six months my plan is to walk into a dealership and order a 1lt.
going by your post price Is negotiated when the car is ordered and a deposit is mandatory, Is this correct?

Ordered my 2013 Camaro on 6/22/12. Negotiated price and paid a deposit of $1,000. Car arrived last week and is now at the dealer having the dealer installed options added. Should be ready this week for me to pick up.

2103 Camaro

I had a 1969 SS that I had to sell when I went into the Army. BIG mistake.
Now my wife says I am reliving my early childhood.:sm0:
Besides it is a beautiful car!

So does anyone know the last date to order a 2013 ZL1? I'm getting the complete run around and cluelessness from the local dealer. I'd like to get in on a 2013 instead of the 14.....but can't get a clear date on how late I can order. Won't be ready until early May. Hoping that's not too late?
