Is this discount available for canadians?

broncosman 07-08-2009 05:44 PM

I just did the discount thing and got my code. I'll save $1,007. I called my dealer and they said no one is honoring that right now. I am getting my car at MSRP as it is. What's up with that?

Yeah because it's pretty rare to find any dealer to honor any discounts on the 2010 camaro but it does happen.

My dealer said my credit union discount is $528 and he is sending me a check in the next couple days. I payed full MSRP and he submitted it for credit union discount and will send me the check. My car MSRP was $38,550. Does this amount sound about right Scotty?

So can I go join a credit union tomorrow and still get the discount when my car gets here in the next few weeks? Providing my dealer will honor a CU discount of course.

I am almost positive that is not right might want to find a calculator for it I think i saw one before. 38k MSRP should be at least $1000.

Where does it state this?

Also, just curious, why would a dealer not honor the discount? Does the dealer loose money even if this is a GM incentive?

Scotty,

Yes, Classic is taking it...........I will be using at the end of the month on mine.......

Is this a credit union thing or can we ask someone at GM as to why the dealers are not willing to accept the discount. My dealer told me that this discount was not available for the Camaro.

FYI - I emailed the folks at gmcard.com and they confirmed this. The exact words: "You cannot combine your earnings with the Credit union discount."

I thought one of the biggest selling points of the GM card was that you could get your best deal from the dealer with all the incentives then apply your GM card earnings. Guess that's not totally true :(
