Meh. I traded my Camaro in for a 2012 Sierra. I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon and when I do, I'll be looking at Ram and Ford.
|
Meh! I am still going for a current design Dodge Ram w/Cummins diesel.
The new Chevy has that huge front grill and lights just like the current Ford superduty. The GMC's front end looks retro 1973-1979. |
Interesting that they finally updated the 4.3L engine. It says it will operate in 4 cylinder mode, seems odd to me, they typically shut off half of the engine in most other applications of afm.
|
The Silverado reminds me of an 81-88 square and stacked head lights.. Wish they would market a ½ ton diesel.

I think the interior looks great. I like the GMC better than the Chevy though.
It's hard to make trucks look drastically different. I think the important thing is how they perform and until we get the numbers the jury's still out I guess. :iono: Quote:
As for the 4cyl mode, it's essentially a 5.3 with 2 less cyl's so they could shut down 2 cyl's and have the same output. It will be interesting to see the power it puts out. I'm thinking around 330hp 345tq. We'll see I guess. |

They look nice but they have some serious competition coming up when the all aluminum F-150's come out next year.
|
...Why is Sierra still around? Why tie up money/design/engineering in 2 lines when they could concentrate on one with more product depth? No fault on the lack of a turbo 6, ecoboost has been the biggest joke of the last decade. It's like Fords own "Olds Diesel" IMO.

Hopefully there will be some monster rebates on the '12s/13s. |
