your right but i don't think he means that there aren't any cars faster than his he right you tube videos all show 5.0 being fast at the 1/4 mile but race one on the street and you will get another outcome

i always thought 5.0 we're really fast and way faster then my car cause of you tube lmao den i raced one and wow there a lot slower than they seemed online of course I'm header and super chip but still for just dose mods my camaro was way faster

Allow me to throw some facts into this thread. I have owned a 2011 GTCS manual 3.55 5.0 and now a 2014 GT 5.0 brembo pack. The 5.0 is a mid 12 second car STOCK. I have yet to meet a stock or lightly modded 5th gen that could keep up with me. Oh and the only mods my car had on the run Im about to show you was the DRIVER MOD.

Now Im not hating or bashing 5th gens, but lets be real. The 5.0 is a couple hundred pounds lighter, and dynos about the same. And with the 3.55 or 3.73 gears, there is no catching one on the street or strip in a stock 5th gen.

The Mustangs are fast cars, but without a decent driver they can be beat. I saw a guy in a GT 500 running 15-18 second 1/4 mile times. Yes, that car should have been running mid 12's, but the driver was simply unable to get it done. At least he was at the track trying to learn, instead of sitting around bench racing.

Agreed. First 13GT500 I saw in person running the 1/4, was running 13's. He was an old guy with unlimited money and no skill. Driver mod is very important.

Didnt you know, when a 5.0 mustaing lines up against you in your camaro you should just put your camaro in reverse and slowly back away. 5.0 stangs rule the world, even on a camaro forum they all run mid 12s stock, no matter what the conditions may be ;)

I have a 2010 ss and my friend just got a 2014 GTCS, we've raced and he put me down by more than i'd like to say.. lol but i just installed LT headers a full 3'' exhaust and got it tuned so im anxious to see how that will do against it. both cars are auto

I'm just curious how so many people are so bad at roll racing. If you aren't able to do it properly then you are mentally handicapped and shouldn't be driving anyway.

No. Because I know the guys I've beat were actually stock. Anyone can tune a mustang and line up against some guy in a camaro and claim stock. Seen it done millions of times before and brag how they "fooled" you to other people
