For some reason your link for our black V8 intake in the first post is broken, here is the correct link: http://www.coldairinductions.com/che...air-intake-145

Thanks!

AFR Head Issue?

1 Attachment(s)
Hey Guys!

I bought a set of AFR's 260cc LS3 heads. When I bolted these to my LS9 I noticed inside the CNC machined intake port a hole on the side of the chamber. I was wondering if you guys had any ideas as to why this is there or was this a machining flaw. Please see the attached photo. Thanks Guys for your help in advance.

Ok question I am looking to upgrade my exhaust for both sound a low loud throaty one and improve horsepower and gas mileage. I have a 2011 Camaro SS convertible stock with L99 engine I believe with only 18,000 miles. What kind of headers should I am and exhaust system? A complete exhaust delete mufflers and resonator and Cats? The problem with deleting the cats is the check engine lights come on and I also not sure any local places will take the off and if I can get a tune which I am sure I will need. I also have read on here that there is no such thing as a high flow cat. So should I just add the headers, long tube or short and delete everything but the cats ? Will this help achieve my goals or do I need to look at something else. Thanks everyone for the advice. Also any suggestions on brands would be helpful.

I get as many complements on the sound of my car as I do it's appearance. I'm running American Racing headers, high-flow cats (basically empty cats that are there to pass inspection), MBRP exhaust system, with the square tips that match the stock GM ground effects. Good stuff. It's a racecar sound that's loud, but not to the point of obnoxious. Oh, I'm running an upgraded cam, too. That helps with sound, too.

Good luck and enjoy!
