Plastidipped blue Camaro!

Hey just re dipped my car from matte white to matte navy blue. This is for all you dip-haters! This is a 100% professional job installed by my garage The Rubber Coat (TRC). We did minor dissassembly including tail light trim, door handles, emblems, and hood. The finish is just as smooth as any wrap, you can see the close up pics attached. Just tryna spread the word on the dip! Not all jobs are bad, you just need to know the product! please PM me with any questions!

*UPDATE*

Here are some higher quality photos:

(mind the gold rims! only did it for a photoshoot will be peeling them off ASAP, i know they look gross)
(the other car is our shop car: Satin Camo Green X6M)

if you see that picture with all the foam on the car, thats how. i have an attachment on a pressure washer that foams the car with soap for dip and is rinsed and air dried within 10 min. We offer this to our clients for free for the first 2 months and 5 dollars every time after.

How do they get it smooth like you said? Plastidip is rough :iono: which would make washing it pointless.

SnowVert 03-07-2013 02:31 AM

nice choice of color. I think it looks good and I usually am not a fan of the plasti-dip

MillerTime 03-07-2013 02:37 AM

looks sick man!!

SSmokinSS 03-07-2013 02:53 AM

I did mine black awhile back. The roughness all depends on the application. I used spray cans. That blue turned out great. :)

rberns 03-07-2013 03:39 AM

416Camaro 03-07-2013 03:46 AM

I like the look. What condition was your white Plastidip when you decided to change? How well did it hold up?

What is going on in this photo?

Is that a spot where something like a rock has hit the plasti-dip?

How difficult is it to "repair" something like that?

zkdreads 03-07-2013 08:21 AM

how do you wash a fully plasti-dipped car?

CamaroSkooter 03-07-2013 08:22 AM

He answered that back on post #8 ;)

el ess A 03-07-2013 08:33 AM

"plasti-dip" and "professional" just seem like two words not belonging in the same sentence.

I guess I have to refrain from comment because I'm sure there are some that like that sorta thing.

It's a dirty spot on the lens I want to say. Because it's in the same spot on two different photo's.

But Anyways the damn car looks sick great job. :clap2:

2010SLVRBULIT 03-07-2013 08:46 AM

cool. and you can always peel it off(wonder how long it would last before peeling starts)...how many cans/coats did you use?

POWERMAN 03-07-2013 09:05 AM

Beautiful!!

Seems like the perfect thing to do before Harsh winters / Hot Summers...
Hope it peels off well (thick enough coat)??
