For CANADIANS ONLY: Does anyone have a Production Status Code?
Besides receiving an Order #. Did anyone receive a Status Level Code for their Camaro like our USA buddies?
Also I asked my Dealer for my Access code so I can follow the progress of my Camaro. He replied that this information(Access code) is only from GM in the USA:mad0259: I haven't had any news since Feb. 13. |
Me
Ask him to update your Work Bench |
i just had to rip my dealer for not even sending a welcome kit let alone any other info. they just told me that gm canada is not as forthcoming with info as the states. for a car being built here you'd think they'd show some more interest!

I asked for an update yesterday and my Dealer answered me by saying "Out of 16 Orders from Gravel Chevrolet. Your vehicle is among 1 of only 2 that will be ready for this summer. Coooooollllllll." Cyber Gray Metalic 2LT / RS / Black Strips / Auto / Grey Int. / Polished Mags I also asked about the Access codes to enter that website and receive >> exclusive Camaro content; he also said that was just for GM USA only! So with the info I get I have to just wait and see what happens even with those constraints that GM has. Good things happen to the people that wait... Patience everyone the CAMARO will come:thumbup: |

Well... I asked my salesperson to update my Work Bench order. I have not heard back. I'm guessing he's leaving the conversation at his previous reply of 'he'd let me know when he gets an update' which sounds like the non-proactive approach. I guess this a case where my salesperson is just stubburn, clueless, believes I am asking for too much information or all of the above.
How long would it take a salesperson to update a Work Bench order? BTW... I phoned the 1-800 (in a different thread) and got absolutely nowhere. They just kept saying that production has not even started yet and phone back once the production has started. :mad0259: |
About 10 strokes on his keyboard...........

No status code, no order number, no welcome kit. Ordered in December. I was told my order was placed last month and I should have my car by the end of May.
2LT/RS |
I was contacted today by my dealer. He told me that "my SS order is at the top of the list for Canadian production". This is great news but I'm a skeptic at heart. I can help but wonder how they know that kind of detail. I believe the order would have been entered into Work Bench by mid Nov/08. Anyone else have there's in before mid Nov?
BTW... I do not have any information about a targeted production date or a status code. :help: |
I went to 3000 today. Sorry for the double post but Im pumped.

ya, i dunno what ur salesman is talking about. i was at the dealer last week and he showed me the computer screen of the "workbench" and it showed all his orders and there production code. mine was still 1100...but i didnt order until feb. the guy at ur dealer should be able to see what stage ur at....especially with it being so close to start of production.
|
i asked my dealer about what code i'm sitting at, and he says 'we're waiting for a call to add another camaro to the system' He said there are 3 ss's and 1 v6 ordered and mine is the next order to be placed.... but he said it probably wouldn't matter because the first 5-6 camaros will all arrive at the dealership at the same time. He was quite positive and told me not to worry. So i won't!!
|
He is the only guy in the whole country that expects all his allocation at one time. They have not placed your order yet! Have him give you the 6 alfa/numeral order #.
|
Well now I'm worried again lol... But they're getting 18 in so I dunno
|
I am still confirmed at 1100 (pre-liminary order accepted) .

im number 12 at my dealer in windsor, no news yet either,
does anyone know if canadian orders were made later/arrived later as was the case when the Solstice first came out |
The last time I looked I was at 3300. My car is being built on 23rd March and shipped on 24th and I should have it in my hands mid April.
I dont believe there have been many constraints on Canada orders. Even the dealers are getting V8s for the floor!! |
