My Foam Gun

So, I finally got around to making a video/review of the "foam gun" that I use.

My Foam Gun Video

As mentioned in this thread:

http://camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149980

I'm using the eZ Foamer from eZ All.

I've been using it with much success for a while now and it does what I need it to do. I've had some of my neighbors stop by and ask what the heck I'm using and I've even been able to wash one of my neighbor's car and make some money because of it.

Questions, criticisms, rude remarks are always welcome

Iomcamaro 09-29-2011 11:35 AM

Great review, but do you really use 16 oz. of soap every car wash?

Iwantone2 09-29-2011 11:49 AM

Why? Am I not allowed to? :iono:

Iomcamaro 09-29-2011 12:33 PM

lol. Of course, I just find that 4 oz works just as good as 16, but to each their own. :drinking:

Iwantone2 09-29-2011 12:43 PM

:sm0:

I'll try that next time, it's just that I've always been used to using that amount. Thanks for the tip!

:drinking:

Unless you're using a WIDE open tip theres no need to go with that much soap... between 4-6oz per 32oz canister is sufficient. More than that and you're wasting a lot of product.

Deke736 09-29-2011 03:43 PM

I love the horse rendering, it's so lifelike!

CamaroDreams07 09-29-2011 07:49 PM

16oz? WTF? Send some of your extra cash my way if you've got money like that to blow.

Iwantone2 09-30-2011 12:20 PM

Screw you guys, I'm never posting anything here! :sm0:

I've learned my lesson and I'm gonna try using less soap next time I wash my car.

CamaroDreams: no hand outs in this country...I mean forum ;)

Nessal 09-30-2011 03:10 PM

Damn you use a lot of soup. I only use 2oz to do my entire car out of my Gilmour foam gun. Anymore than that and it's a waste. I use chemical guy's soap and it suds up like CRAZY.

ROD_SS 10-01-2011 08:40 PM

Iwantone2, I love that eZ All foam gun. Just picked one up today from the tractor store

Iwantone2 10-01-2011 10:15 PM

Nice!!! Post up your opinions of it when you put it to use

I bought the foamaster from amazon for ~$30 and love it. I don't have my camaro yet, but couldn't wait and tried it out on the wifes BMW.

I love it.

cadyshac 10-19-2011 02:40 PM

Tractor supply has these for $29.99, is this the same one that you have?

If it is the one on this link: http://www.tractorsupply.com/equine/...ng-kit-5072785

Then yes.

As you can tell in my video, I'm very pleased with it.

Cool! Foam is foam I guess

CamaroKid300 10-19-2011 11:59 PM

So you use the foam gun....then you come back with a car wash rag of sorts and "rub it in??"

Or do you just wash the foam off after spraying it on and you're done?

PQ 10-20-2011 12:08 AM

Holy crap. UserCP makes me miss all kinds of stuff.

That's the best foam gun I've seen.

Mine sucks. Mine suck up the soap with more water than foam on the car.

In order to answer your question, you first must understand why you are using the foam gun in the first place. Watch this video series on the proper way to wash your car and it will all make sense (as of this posting, the link is down but I'm sure it will be back up shortly). The foam gun is not a gimmick or luxury, it is a must have when it comes to washing your car properly. The videos will make it completely clear to you.

Iwantone2, love the editing of your video. Nice horse.

I think Junkman answered the question best. But, no you don't just "rub it in". You still follow the two-bucket system

Thanks PQ! Well, now you have another option for a foam gun. If you don't mind me asking, what do you currently use?

Oh ok...I remember I used to have the Ortho sprayer. I think I got it at Homes Depot. I used it for a while until I decided that I should stop being ghetto and get a better foamer.

 I'm lower than ghetto. I splash soapy water out of a bucket and rag now. :bellyroll:

Lol just saw this. You must be living in a different country than I am. That's all it is anymore.

I miss my foam gun :( When I'm living at my apartment I have no way to use it. Jealous of you people and your convenient water supplies :D

Washed both my wifes silver Rogue and my Black SS today with the foam gun. I did a 2 bucket system and it worked fantastic. I clayed both cars and my black SS needs some swirl and haze marks polished out of it. I'd rather do it myself than pay some schmuck 150 dollars to make a mess of things.

I foamed her entire car down and then washed sections at a time. By the time I got to the final sections, all the soap was all gone. For my SS, I foam guned a section and then washed and repeated for each section. It seemed to work better but I'm not sure if the technique is to foam it and let it soak in while washing or foam each section/wash/rinse and then repeat...

Looks like a Porter Cable 7424xp kit purchase is in my near future... :chevy:

My apologies...wishful thinking is all ;)

I haven't used mine in about 3 weeks, but that's also because I haven't been able to properly wash my car :(

Do you mean that when you foam the car, the soap "dissappears" from it? that's usually what happens to my car on the sides, but there is still some foam on the hood, roof, and trunk parts of it. I usually spray the foam on the entire car and let it soak for a good 5 minutes. Then I proceed with the 2-bucket wash.

full of days 10-26-2011 11:17 AM

I'm just too detail oriented when I wash and am weary of the foam I've soaked the car with "drying" on the car before I can get there with my sheepskin mitt using the2 bucket system. Wind and sun really increases the dissapearance I've noticed.

After reading this tread I went to Tractor Supply and bought it for $29.99 +10% off on there Grand Opening Sale ! Great timing . Thanks for the heads up !
