Any Hot Wheels Editions sold?

Just curious to see how many of the Kinetic Blue Hot Wheels Camaros have been sold or ordered. Anyone got a line on this? I think they're cool. I'd buy 1 if I had the coin.

Id take a Hot Wheels edition if it came with 1LE rims. But i think 1 Jan 2013 is when I think you can order. :iono:

I'm really fighting the temptation to sell my 2004 Impulse Blue Metallic GTO and place an order for one of these Hot Wheels Camaro's. I'm still a kid at heart and am still a Hot Wheels nut. My wife actually bought me the 1/64 Hot Wheels Camaro for Christmas (along with a few others).

pumpkinrancho 12-30-2012 11:24 PM

One of the girls in our camaro club has an allocation for one.

Fish-man 12-30-2012 11:26 PM

MrsLT1PWRD 12-31-2012 10:10 AM

Congratulations! I think I may go and test drive a Camaro next weekend. It's been a while since I've driven one. I'm sure it will make my decision that much harder.

How long have you owned your GTO?

I bought it brand new in October of 2004. So a little over eight years now. It doesn't seem like it's been that long.

The GTO replaced my 1998 Camaro, which was stolen in March of 2004.

LikaRokBowTie 01-01-2013 01:23 PM

Was the dealer asking over msrp when you bought it,I was looking at the car but I had an 02SS Camaro so not looking to buy really and the dealer had them marked up 15,000 over msrp:sm0:but people bought them, now if they paid that price I don't know.

The first one I saw at a dealer had a $6500 mark up. That was in March of 2004. I tried to find another Camaro (00- 02), but they were quite expensive (preowned of course). By the time I bought mine, there was a $3,000 rebate from the factory on them. It ended up costing me about $27,000 (MSRP was 33,190).

Yeah my wife gave me one for Christmas, which has grown into my serious interest in the actual special edition car. My wife probably regrets spending that dollar on that particular Hot Wheel

Going tomorrow

CamaroRS/SS10 01-01-2013 10:11 PM

I ordered mine the first of Nov. Just talked to the dealer and it is going to be built the week of the 21st. I really don't need it due to having a 2010 already but I'm a hugh Hot Wheel collector and it will be awesome to drive a car that I can give out a Hot Wheel of my car. I have bought about 350 of the Hot Wheel cars already. I just hope it's a one time deal to help hold the value up a little.

I got it from Carl Black in Nashville Tn and they have order a V-6 car as well as my 6-speed SS. They will sell it for $500.00 under MSRP. Just alittle FYI.

Combover 01-02-2013 07:56 AM

How did you get 350? Connections with a distributor?

Maybe she secretly wants it for herself :D

Or it's her way of giving her approval

GearheadSS 01-02-2013 10:54 AM

I still haven't found any of those Hot Wheels Edition Hot Wheels Camaros.

shayn42 01-02-2013 02:02 PM

I found a couple Hot Wheels Camaro edition cars at Walmart as well. If you can't find them, go to ebay. There are lots of them listed.

wlvrine 01-02-2013 10:06 PM

I'm 99% sure I'm ordering one. The 1% part would be happy with no more car payment.

No, she's got her heart set on a new A5 cabriolet. I actually have a "green light", but I can't find a buyer for my GTO.

Grey Ghost 01-14-2013 05:55 PM

Ordered 2SS Hot Wheels edition 1/11/13. Can't wait to get it. I will miss my SIM V6, but I am sure not for long once I am driving a life size Hot Wheels V8!

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to seeing one.

2013Sizzler 01-19-2013 04:19 PM

We ordered our 2SS HWSE on Jan. 11th, too. Not sure if it made it to allocation or not. Need to check.

w2010abm 01-20-2013 05:16 PM

I went to order 2013 hot wheels edition and they don't offer the sunroof as a option. It's avaliable on the 2013 2SS pakage, but not on a 2SS hot wheels edition? Any ideas why? I instead bought a 2010 ss ABM with a sunroof.

Because of the vinyl stripe on the roof.

Hi! I ordered a Hot Wheels edition too. Mine says queued for production on the Chevy website. Do you know the date when you ordered yours? How do you know it's being built this week? I'm anxious to find out when mine will be built. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

jonboy71 01-25-2013 06:33 PM

all of my dealerships claim they can't order them until june/july? What gives? Can someone point me in the right direction with anything I can direct the dealer to?

Fish-man 01-25-2013 06:49 PM

Cawcolo, get the order number from the dealer. Ask him to get its status code and tpw... you can also post it in the top stickied thread here and Becky will look too.

Jonboy, your dealer is an idiot. Gm will be done making the hotwheels by then... only making limited numbers. RPO code is HWS.

2013Sizzler 01-26-2013 11:13 AM

I just got a call back from our sales guy. He said no hot wheels cars have been pulled for production yet. He also said they wouldn't get a workbench order number until the order was pulled. That doesn't sound right, but I certainly have no way of knowing any different.

mhoskins76 01-27-2013 04:29 PM

Just put the order in for my Hot Wheels Camaro this week. Getting 1 of 32 allocated for Canada. Dealership put the build sheet together for me, and just waiting to hear when it is started to getting built.

Can not WAIT to get this car!

jonboy71 01-28-2013 12:53 PM

What is the best price I might be able to order one of these for? I'm looking for the least expensive model.

mrvenicess 01-28-2013 12:57 PM

I got a friend of mine one for invoice.

jonboy71 01-28-2013 01:05 PM

what is the lowest invoice...approximately? i want to have some kind of idea when i sit down with dealer.

walli 01-28-2013 01:14 PM

hi,
we ordered a hot wheels edition too. the eu-modell :)

jonboy71 01-28-2013 05:54 PM

can someone give me or PM me an approximate dealers invoice cost for the Hot Wheels 2LT? I'm on a budget, but want to get this Hot Wheels version if possible.

jonboy71 01-29-2013 10:41 AM

Anyone?
