Wow, amazing it is within a tenth of a second of the F12. Is the full article available somewhere?

 That is amazing. Some serious company the Z/28 is in! |
That's awesome the Z/28 almost got the Viper and GTR also.
The BMW M4 ran a 3:00 lap. The 1LE ran a 2:58 last year! |

Awesome results.

That's amazing. And this is considered a high speed track. If it had the same power to weight as the GTR, Ferrari, Viper, Porsche Turbo and Corvette it'd really embarrass them.

Wow. Gad to see the Z/28 continue to surprise the competition. Awesome results.
|
Comparing this group the Z/28 is not out-of-line weight wise. Reading their thoughts on the C7 I can't wait to see how the C7 Z06 does.
|
Don't you people understand? There is no reason to own a Z/28, it's always a no-brainer- choose the Corvette! Everyone knows this. Besides, all those cars would have beat the Z/28 if they had the same tires the Z does! The tires are the only thing that matters! Z/28 is an overpriced piece of crap. Sheesh
/sarc F*ckin' aye is my real opinion. Suck on it haters. GM engineers- I hope you guys are smoking cigars and drinking fine whiskey right now. |
Consider this: Of the Top 11 cars tested, "Peak Speed" for the Z/28 was the 2nd Slowest, yet it clicked off a Top 5 Time!
That, folks, is very impressive...at ANY price! [Number 4, at 4+ TIMES the price, had not-yet-ready-for-primetime tires, and beat the ZEE by a 1/10, or...] |

On the other hand the Viper with its power to weight should have performed much much better. They better get to work on that chassis. |
I'm more impressed with the C7 than the Z/28 after seeing that. Look at the peak speeds. Hell they don't need a 650hp vette to win. Just the fancy brakes and tires off the Z/28.

Don't get too excited. Not sure of any racing league that races only one lap.

Thats very impressive.

Does anyone know if this is the first time a Camaro has beaten a Vette in this type of comparison?

Sweet!

Bad A$$ machine.

Wow, great numbers

Has to be the first time, and I also admit that I too, am impressed with the corvette. Now, it makes me smile to see the numbers for our Z/28 owners, but imagine what that car could do with some proper "breathing" |

Wowza that Z was moving for those times i wonder what the z06 is gonna lay down

How can the Z/28.R be worth a damn thing without those tires?!? Everyone knows they're the real "secret sauce" behind the car's performance... |

great article, what a car
|
About what I expected from the Z. As someone already pointed out, it should not be any surprise that it flat out performs on a track like VIR; it was what it was designed for!

Don't get me wrong. The car does well. I get it. The car did well with the best lap posted. Great job GM. I get it. The Z/28 performs on the track. |
