The part that I don't understand is why all of the vendors still list Pedders on their websites as available. Nothing says there is a waitlist or backorder. Unless you call them before you order or are reading these threads, you have no idea you order may not get filled...

Pedders still in business?

Pfadt Stage 4 here and loving it. No need to wait for Pedders stickers. Pfadt FTW!

You can wait a little bit if your timeline allows or you can look at other options. The parts availability will be back once the legal issues get resolved.

I was under the impression that Pedders AU and Pedders USA were the same company. That really sucks if this is the case since Pete is truly a great person. We met at SEMA 2012 Camaro5 dinner party. He was great to talk to and very approachable. Hope everything works out for all parties.

I hope they pull through. Nice company that keeps healthy competition in the market.

If I am correct I believe that Pedders USA is the sole national distributor for Pedders AU here in the states, not the same company. I agree about Pete! I have met and talked to him many times! He is always approachable, helpfull, and enthusiastic! Of all the vendors on Camaro5 I would have to say he is one of just a few that are genuinely interested in the sport and in his customers, not just selling bits!

Unless you truly understanding the legal issues Pete is facing, it's pre-mature to draw conclusions about what kind of communications he can or should have with his customers right now, even seemingly innocuous communications. This could be a situation in which he simply cannot communicate with his customers until the legal issue is resolved, regardless of how frustrating it is to Pete and his customers.

There is no excuse for not letting your valued customers know what's up and what's being done to resolve the issue(s).

Good point, but I guess you'll have to ask Pete yourself! That is if you can get ahold of him! LOL! I'm thinking that he may have been given notice not to communicate anything until the legal issues are resolved. We are doing nothing but speculating at this point!

The only thing I can speculate as to why someone would/could not communicate with the customers is if he's in jail or on the run. It has happened before to people. They just vanish.

If Pedders AU can say something about having a legal situation, then so can Pete. He doesn't have to disclose details, but he CAN state something to the fact that he's having some issues, hold one while we get things resolved, etc., etc.

But because he's incommunicado, my bet is he's not in a place that has internet readily available at the moment or he simply doesn't want to be found.

For those who are truly interested and perhaps even need some contact, why not call down-under. Eh Mate?

See post #26 in this thread. It's already been done.
