Pledge to Provide Accurate Info 2SS Order

Our dealership has allocation this week for our first Camaro 2SS in Inferno Orange. When I get in tomorrow morning I should see this order in our "Placed Tab". Since our customer wants the car ordered as it was from the start, no changes need to be made.

We have named the car, "SIENA" for the purposes of this thread. :happyanim:

What I am going to try to do is provide up to date info on this specific order thru the process until it arrives at the store up until delivery. This will give you guys/gals a little real time info on an order that's in process from today going forward.

Feel free to PM me with questions regarding it and as long as I don't get overwhelmed with PM's, I'll try to answer ASAP.

This way you can "adopt" this order to either supplement your own or just watch the process without dealing with your dealer (assuming they won't help).

Maybe this will help some folks rest a little easier.

BTW, this order is going to a 70+ year old woman who also currently has a 2007 Corvette Coupe (hope she trades it). How cool is that?

Great idea! Thanks!

So this is the allocation period that opened this past thursday? It will/should get a TPW this wed?

So was this allocation one you learned about from the Feb. consensus that you are just now able to put in for production?

Yes. Pass One on Friday. Good to go on Tuesday. TPW is usually the following Wednesday. Not this Wednesday.

Your Mustang is so slow, my Grandmother's car could beat it.

Look forward to the step-by-step updates.

It's like a test to see if an order "passes" and can be built within the constraints for that vehicle. Can be done from Thursday to Saturday. Let's say an order contained a Hurst shifter this week and there were none available nationally. That order would "fail" until you removed the shifter or put another order in it's place.

Thanks for all the great info RPO. But even after reading through the other thread I'm still confused about 1 thing. Was it just last week that you found out you got 1 allocation? Or did you already know you got a car the first week in February but you were just able to fill your given allocation last week?

I'm just wondering if I should have my dealer check each week to see if they get an allocation. Or if the allocation number is only given at the beginnig of the month but GM restricts when you can use it. Hope I was able to word this so you can tell what I'm tring to ask :yikes:
