2012 2LT/RS vs 2013 1LT/RS
Weighing my options, i could probably get both of these at about the same price. I could actually probably gt the 2012 for a little cheaper, since it is used. But there are pros and cons to both.
With the 2012, I could have the HUD, the leather, the ABL, backup camera etc.... With the 2013, I could get the MyLink touchscreen, the frameless mirror, and the pride of owning a NEW CAR. But I would have cloth seats and miss out on all the little goodies, such as the ABL and HUD... Faced with the decision, which would you choose, if you were in my predicament? |
2012 2LT>2013 1LT.

No brainer, go with the 2012 that's loaded. HUD is great, you still get the backup camera in the mirror, heated seats, leather, ambient lighting, etc. |
I picked 12 but....I'd go with a 2010-11 ss :D

2010 or 2011 SS FTW
|
Haha.. Figures the "SS" boys would jump in with "Buy a V8"..... That was NOT expected at all..lol
Back on subject, if I were you, I would weigh the options and what you really want. I think both cars have appeal and tbh, if I had the choice, I would go with the 2012 because the HUD is really cool and so are the other options you won't get with the 1LT. Good luck!!!!! |
Save and wait a little bit more and get the 2013 :D
|
Deffinetly 2012... But I agree with adamZ, get an older SS
|
2012. The MyLink still has too many bugs that GM hasn't or can't seem to work out. I think the backup screen in the rear view mirror is cooler than the cam in the MyLink screen. Plus you have the guidelines in the backup screen that we '13 owners don't have.

2012 I want the extra goodies

If you have to have a V6, get the 2012. The leather seats and the HUD are not to be missed out on. The Chevy myLink is overrated, nothing but a sub-par touch screen with an even worse OS. The only thing about it that I like is that I can play the audio from my phone via bluetooth, but thats nothing an auxiliary jack can't fix.
However, I do have to say the others are right. As someone who purchased the V6 because my commute is killer, if you can deal with the worse gas mileage (I wish I had said F it and dealt with it), get an older SS, otherwise you may regret it. I often times long for the purr of an SS, which IMO would have trumped the heads up display and even leather seats, hands down. Don't get me wrong, the V6 has plenty of power, but there is nothing like the roar of that V8. Plus it makes me just a bit sad when I see that 5.0 Mustang roar past me, and all I can do is watch. |
no v8...

And you know that you can play music with bluetooth off of your phone with bluetooth in 2012 right? You just have to have the connectivity package, I believe. I am starting to think that the older style radio will be better because its easier to use and not so distracting. |
