San Diego County Camaros

A good group got together on the 10th at Corvette Diner in Point Loma, L.A. & points in between showed up, 24 ? 25? cars. Pretty Cool !

So, Who's out there in San Diego & When do we get together again ? Lets get some names & numbers.

Oct. 24 is Cars and Coffee...plus DefenderWorx...plus Hurst Shifters, both Company's are giving something away, plus discounts !

Nov. 14 is the last big meet at a Dealership in Claremont, CA. Could be a pretty big group there !

As most of you know, most car shows are pre 74, and most are up North. "BUT" a few are down here too ! Here are two that I have fliers for ;

Sat. Nov. 21 Escondido Elks lodge has an open Show put on by Corvettes of San Diego. $10 entry & includes 1 lunch (add more for $5 per) 10am to 2pm.

Sun. Dec. 13th Christmas Cruise for the Kids ! by Street Masters, This is their 24th Annual Toy Drive ! The cost is an unwrapped Toy and/or Cash Donation. Giant Raffle, Pancake Breakfast, Games, Auction, T-shirts, & Fun ! This is at Torrey Pines High School, 8am to 2pm.

If you have more suggestions, Put-um-up !
I plan on going to the listed Shows. If you need fliers, I'll post them, most Shows are listed in;

Lets Cruiz !

I told the salesman I want a personally autograph picture from him. I went in Tuesday and "ordered" the SS2/RS, 6spd, CGM. Before we "ordered" it, I asked if they sold at MSRP and they said yes. I brought in the print out from chevy website for the options and the price. And they said, 'ok, if thats the price from chevy thats the price.' They told me what the RS package was and the only thing that sold me on it was the factory painted body molding on top of the roof. I would hate have a 2 black molding stripes throwing the whole paint scheme off. We'll see when it gets here. I've asked numerous times about "hidden fee's" from them. They assured me they are none. Keeping fingers crossed.

6BANGER, was good meeting you at the Corvette Diner. I can't do the Oct. 24 meet, but am going to try and do Nov 14. Let me know when/where the S.D. Camaros are meeting to drive up together.

There's another Toys-4-Tots Car show on Dec 5th at MCRD

It’s that time of year for our friend from MCRD, Jose Ortega-Garcia, to be attending the council meeting and promote the Marine Corps Recruit Depot of San Diego MCCS Auto Skills Center Car and Motorcycle Show. Proceeds for this run will benefit of the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Drive and the Recruit Depot’s Auto Skills Center. December 5th is the date, the area between the recreation and fitness centers is the location (you have your preference of grass or asphalt parking), and your entry fee is $10.00 and an unwrapped new toy. Set up begins at 8:00 a.m., show runs from 10.00 a.m, until 2:00 p.m. Jose assured us that the out-going general did speak to the incoming general about how wonderful this event is and the positive results it has on all involved. Flyers are available with registration forms – Jose can be reached at (619) 524-5240.

I can't find anyone that wants to go real early. I figure on getting there before 8:00.
As it stands now, I might be meeting a car or two at Daltons (right off 78, after you drop 15) at about 6:45. Then we can hook up with anyone else coming up 5 at the Jefferson exit on 78 (it's the first exit off 78 from the 5) There's a Starbuck's & McDonalds, also Gas on that off ramp (North side), it's a great meeting place.

So anyone from S.D. wanting to hook up;

Dalton's at 6:45.......Nordahl exit on 78, just off the 15

Then to;

Jefferson St. exit at 7:10......on 78, just off the 5

Coffee & Donuts before 8:00
