69 ZL1 Mecum auctions
There is a 69 ZL1 on the auction block this week in Dallas. It is supposedly the only ZL1 done in red on red.

I imagine that's gonna break somebody's bank.

I want it. Given a lottery hit, but I would be the dumbass that would drive it around, maybe not to Walmart, but I'd enjoy owning it.

Real ZL-1's can fetch up to one million dollars. Fakes are out there and you need to do research before you spend any of your mega millions. For example car #62 does not have it's original engine. The original engine is in a 1969 Red Camaro VIN#124379N594577. This car sold at Barrett Jackson in 2007 for 134k. Ill just get a Mclaren Mp4 12c and pocket the 750,000.00...

Here is a link to a 1967 Ferrari that sold for 27.5 million. But I guess this is what makes the world go round. I myself would never pay that much for a car but again I'm not a billionaire. http://www.bloomberg.com/slideshow/2...t-auction.html |

Just so everyone is clear, the car itself is not fake. From what you can take from different internet postings the real engine is in a fake ZL1 and the real ZL1 has a fake engine. Those two people need to get together. |
Most of the 69 ZL1s blew their engines and had them replaced. Some of the 69 have been reunited with their original blocks but most havent.

If I remember correctly #9 sold for $410k.
