Welcome Cards and New Members

Just a thought, so if you think it's a bad one, simply disregard this. The other day as I was putting a Camaro5 card on someone's car, and I thought that perhaps it would be kind of cool to have some kind of rating system on members' profiles, (or some sort of status indicator, rewards program, or whatever) that would reflect how many new members that member has brought to Camaro5.

This would add a bit more incentive and encourage members to try and bring in more members, and thus more traffic to the site. When a new member opens a profile, he or she could enter the screen name of the member who referred them. Again, just a general idea in an attempt to generate more members/traffic.

Thanks for your consideration.

Good idea!

We do have a 'referrals' section in the registration form. But I'm not sure what, if anything, it does.

It's been so long, I forgot...

Im not a computer guy, but maybe that referral section that already exists could be modified to allocate points, credits, bars, (or whatever), to the member when their screen name is enetered by the new member.

Maybe a progressive rating scale, like 'usher' to 'promoter' to 'scout' to 'recruiter', for one example, each indicating a range of referrals that were made. Again, just brainstorming. Maybe this idea will help someone else generate a better idea that is doable, and worth the added trouble to implement.

Thanks for your consideration. :chevy:
