thats only looking at one aspect of the car though. Yes as it has been said time and time again if you are looking to just drag race then maybe the zl1 isnt the best investment. Now how much money would it take to run 8's and then pull the time that the zl1 pulled at the 'ring? Could that procharged engine even survive one lap? Its all about what the end user wants. Right now the zl1 looks pretty close to the have my cake and eat to category. |
Gram great runs.
We ran a 10.20 @ 137 in the G-Force CTS-V last week. Can you give more info on wheels and tires. Did you change the front brakes to fit the runners? Did you try a 17 in weld on the rear? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FM73C...e_gdata_player |
Has anyone tried something like the WOT box on the ctsv at all to use the 2 step and have the blower at boost on launch?
|
No Mike the wheels we used were CCW and the fronts will fit CTSV also, rears were 18". The point of this was to show that less than $ 3 k in engine mods, plus good tires would do this. More to come!

SVT is offline as they have a meeting to come up with a thread to bash these results.
Great work guys, oh so close, but 11.0x is nothing to sneeze at. :w00t: |
Graham...good job on the car and great job keeping us in the loop like you do. I for one really appreciate the fuel pump feedback. I now know cam plus supercharger means dangerous territory on a ss car with a zl1 pump dropped in. Better off with lingenfelter's fuel pump upgrade.
