how much does it cost to paint your brake calipers?
also, can you do it to an LS or do you need bigger brakes. thanks (p.s- i know you wont be able to really see them on an LS unless you get aftermarket rims) |

Sorry, but those covers look terrible IMO. So obviously fake. Painting the actual caliper looks much better. But to each their own. I painted mine myself.

It's sprayed on to avoid brush strokes. I painted them on the car, just masked everything around them really well. I might have gone overboard, but this is what I did: -Cleaned caliper thouroughly with brake cleaner and wire brush. It's critical that you get all the grease and dirt off or the paint won't stick properly. - Sprayed on two coats of high temp primer, lightly sanding after each coat. This step may not be necessary as the paint directions say primer isn't required. Let dry overnight. - Sprayed on three coats of caliper paint in 10 minute intervals. Use light coats so as to avoid runs. Apply as many coats as necessary to cover part. Let dry overnight. - Applied camaro decals. - Sprayed on two coats of high temp clear. Let dry overnight. - Put wheels back on and enjoy. |
