another gpi ss1 cam

Well guys you have to add me to the chop family because I finally got me GPI SS1 Camshaft installed. I also got the
1 7/8 TSP Longtubes installed with their 3" exhaust. Man what a difference! It is a beast now. Can't wait until I get it to the track to see what it'll do. But next thing I'm going to do is get it on the dyno.

Sweet! Just getting mine dialed in now with Ryan, on it's 6th revision, love it, congrats man

I didn’t realize a ‘1’ had that chop. Nice! Wonder if I’d get it past CA smoggers?

Yeah I'm still just running the base tune because I'm waiting on my cai air intake to come in. I ordered from rdp the Thursday before last and even paid for 3 day shipping and it still hasn't even shipped. The guy at rdp said everybody is out with covid. But I'm really happy with Ryan, he is good at what he does. I'm glad I went with gpi.

I didn't realize that either. It shakes all over the place at a stop.

Yeah the ss1 is pretty rowdy compared to other companies "#1"

I took a long time to pick a cam. After a lot of research I narrowed it down to 2. I was either getting the Tick or the GPI. I was looking at max performance without needing a stage 4 flycut. A nice sound was secondary.
In the end the GPI shocked me not only from it's power gain but the sound and shake is spectacular. I get thumbs up all day long when I'm driving it.

For some more shake put these in, I love them.

You can put them in with only using jack stands and a jack. Was a little tricky and took about 40min. But I think it was worth it. *sorry for the thread jack*

LOL I've been contemplating this very thing over the winter. Since I know one of my mounts is shot, why not lol.

Do those take the place of the motor mount?

Tarendor 04-06-2021 06:19 PM

Exactly....except my mounts were not shot lol

does that really help with the shaking? I mean my car really shakes and jerks makes me wonder if mine are shot.
