BMR vs Eibach

I am looking to upgrade most of my suspension in the next year and I am the type of guy that likes to stay brand loyal and use components from one brand for different items. I want all BMR suspension components. I already have the Strut Tower Brace which I love. I am now looking for lowering springs and here in lies the problem. I found a website that would give me new Eibach springs for $159. BMRs I can find for around 235-250. Is it worth the extra money for the BMRs? or is my OCD causing me to spend more money?

where are you getting your springs from?

That's a dam good price I must say. I read a few posts here where members were talking about noise from their lowering springs; and someone replied that their Eibachs were quiet. I have Eibachs on my 4th gen Formula and they never made noise.

I have BMR swaybars and Eibach springs. The springs ride rough, but that's to be expected (and the swaybars are on highest stiffness). They really aren't that low though, I think BMR's go lower. It sits nice but when I mention I have the springs people always say things like "Wow, I didn't know you were lowered. That's why yours looks better!". It's subtle but effective.

Im liking this info. I know the V6 set from BMR is 1.2 and Eibach is 1.0 I believe...

Lowering springs

I had Eibach lowering springs and swaybars put on my 2010 SS two years ago. The car looks and rides and handles better than the stock set up. I have not had any problems or noises with them. Check Autoanything for their best price on the set.

I prefer BMR springs over Eibach, but Hotchkis and Pfadt are my #1 choices for springs. Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

I think I am just being OCD...

i have had both...and personally BMR is my choice..the stance is just that little bit lower and i am surprised that 1/4- 3/4 inch makes a difference. hope that helps///
and they are nice people to deal with. :)

I have the BMR strut tower brace, Eibach springs, and Eibach sway bars. I love my setup!

SeriouslySinning 06-19-2013 09:12 AM

Are your springs on in your pics? Doesnt really looked lowered...

San2cci 06-19-2013 09:23 AM

No. That was when I first got the car. It lowers the car 1". On a medium setting with the springs/sway bars my car drives very tight/harsh wish is good (to me) because I love the reduced body roll and hard cornering ability. You have to love comfort to gain better handling though and that's something you'll have to decide that noone else can for you.

I had Eibachs on my v6 and it squeaks.. I now have BMR 1.4 on all four corners and have no issues. Low but I can take 3 passengers and tires does not rub and the ride is not that harsh.
