Good work. Looking good. Shame you didn't have someone setup your own engine replacement fund setup for you like they did for Hugger. You'd have the money for the headers and intake and a bunch left over. You need to start getting into those cliques around here so you'll be set for next time :sm0:. Maybe they should start a Camaro5 engine replacement fund for everyone here. Members could build whatever they wanted, however they wanted, and when the motor blows simply draw from the fund

haha i wish. i mean for 22, i'm not doing too bad.

I just wish 6k could've went into upgrades..instead of a replacement motor. oh well. only 4,500 left to pay off. :mad0259:

I wish someone had an intake they didn't like sitting around. haha

I'll tell you what. Since no one did a motor replacement fund for you like they did for Hugger, I'll send you my CAI if I ever decide to replace it or don't need it. I have a daughter 22 so I'm impressed with what you've been able to do. Now, if I could just get her to...

haha. i'll hold you to that. And it's honestly amazing how generous everyone is on this site. I get very few bad responses or rudeness here. it's awesome.

as for your daughter, a little motivation goes a long way. Unfortunately mine wasn't the kind I wanted.. My dad passed last april. Kinda an eye opener and a boot in my ass to get done college and get a job..

Just for the record, I never asked for the funds.....I happened to be at a large Camaro event when the engine let loose. This event is full of some really outstanding people that were willing to help a fellow owner out when he needed it most.

I'm blessed to know the people I do....from Kelly's above and beyond to help me get the car home, to others throwing some money together to help me get the car back on the road sooner than later. That's what this community is all about.

Now back to this build thread! :headbang:

Didn't mean to derail your thread.....you're doing great things with your car man.

See ya in Oshawa my man!

no derailment.. 90% of the people on here know we had similar engine failures. curious to see the route you go.

At this point, I'm dropping in a crate LS3, throwing the bolt ons back on the car with a tune and just enjoying it.

Down the road I'd like a Z06.

You certainly can. In fact, I'll do more than that. Since you're not that far, if you're ever in the area, let me know. I have a bunch of OE parts that I'll give you and you can try and sell to raise money for your cai and headers. If I decide to go through the hassle of selling I'll send those funds to you.

You certainly are but no need to set the record straight. I've been subscribed to your thread since Oshawa because I'm curious how much money will be raised. I hope it's enough for a new motor, car payoff, house payoff, kids through college, etc. And I'm confident you'd do the same if the situation had been reversed--even for the OP and even for Chris when he grenaded and flipped his S/C RJT at LSP last Sunday. As you told Chris--pay to play--even if it's for some less than for others.

Just saw your post. If you're serious about the OE parts. Definitely. I'm trying to recoop my losses..

On a side note.. I ordered XSPower headers (I had an exhaust leak that was driving me insane, and the kit was 650..i'll take the hit for now and do it right)

Will post more pictures when I get them.. I will also be selling my Pype's Pype-Bombs when I get the kit installed.

Found the timeslip for the LS3 before it blew.

The LSX should be faster than this...

Nvincent4708 07-12-2011 09:02 PM

Here is the exhaust I am currently installing.
