Cool, it'll be fun to follow along!

I really need to start my build thread too, I'm pretty far in lol.

Thank you! It's mostly rigged from X25's parts list epica but I added a few new pieces gathered from L99CAMA2011's experiences. Credits to Justice Pete. Cheers.

Nice! Good to see a Bay Area Camaro build. Looking forward to seeing your build progress and hopefully seeing you on the track sometime!

Yep I'm going to use x25's format also, he's a local friend and will be in my build thread lol

Soon! How do you fare in the traffic on the way to nearby tracks/autocross? I can feel my car flying up in flames every time I get stuck in the thick of it. Keeping all that power at bay in stop and go speeds gives me anxiety.

Luckily I don't drive in traffic with the Camaro often. I hate sitting in traffic with a passion lol. So I usually drive early morning or late evening. Coming back from Marina on Sunday evenings is probably the most traffic and it's not too bad luckily. Some groups are really good about starting earlier on Sundays and ending their events earlier like 3pm. There are two routes back home (through Gilroy or Santa Cruz).

Not really, x25 used his stock 1LE suede steering wheel, and I just bought the same to put on my car. Since my car is also my DD, I didn't to lose airbag/steering controls functionality with some of the "racing" wheels

I will be following along. I liked x25s build. Fellow washtonian

Nice build, I can't believe I missed this. What got me here is your APEX wheels. In the pics above, what camber are you running? Are you using any wheel spacers?

I misplaced my alignment sheet. Front camber should be around -1.2. I maxed the camber plates to provide a use for them. Guy said that alignment could have been done without plates. I'm running conservative camber/caster with minimum toe. I should go back for rotation and a new alignment given that it has been a few miles since last evaluation. Thank you to Family Auto Service in Belmont, California.

No spacers. Pencil thin clearance on the front but that should be more than enough.
I have welded in JPSS Caster Locks for further enhancement.

I achieved 2.3* of camber with a little bit of opening up of the upper hole in the strut (lower) mount, without camber plates. You'll have plenty of available camber when you start playing around.

I'm looking at a few different wheel for the track. I found some Rays/Volk racing ZE40s. Super light, forged and great looking, but the 19x11's where a one time manufacture and ther are not any left in the offsets I want. :frown:

Can you source OEM Z/28 wheels? Apex has clearance on the wheels I run.

I've seen the Z/28 wheels around every once and a while. I am on the group buy list for the ET44 ARC-8/EC-7 Apex wheels. I just started looking into some CCW's also.
