What Number is your Car?
 

Hey Guys, i just thought this would be a cool idea. If you guys want at your discretion, throw out the last digits of your vin, for example mine is 16220.
I think it would be cool to see what cars that were built on the same day ended up. Just a cool thought and nothing can be done with the number of your car but if your worried dont post up.
Id like to see where my cars brothers and sisters ended up :D

Mine is 02426. Born on 03-08-2010(so I'm told)
She was delivered on 03-23-2010 in Dodge City, Ks.

Somethings not adding up there, if it was built on 3/8/10 then she has to be at least at the 100,000 mark.

I stand corrected she was born on 03-11-2010.
And yes that is the last 5 of the vin.
I did pull the title and it was issued on the 11th instead of the 8th.

He is saying, how could you have serial number 2426 and your car was built in March of 2010?

2426 is an early build serial number. That was probably built between May - June 2009.

I'm going to assume you probably meant 102,426?

Ok, so you probably have 120,246.

What are the couple digits in front of 20246?

Here's the last part of my VIN:

A9140196

My actual car serial number isn't 140,196. it's 40,196.

I can't remember what the "1" in front signifies, but it basically means that the car was built in between 0 and 99,999.

The "2" in front of your serial number signifies that your car is 100,000 to 199,000.

So your actual production serial number is: 102, 426. Meaning it was the 102,426th 2010 produced.

Does that make sense?
